I am 28 minutes into this video, and I cannot believe how good this tutorial is. You are knowledgeable, good at explaining and funny. I am going really slow as I am taking notes and practicing what I am learning, but I just wanted to let you know that this is one of the best tutorials I have ever watched. Congratulations on such an excellent work!
Your English is easily understandable, don’t apologize for your accent! Helps me to stay keyed in, some people drone on in these tutorials and put me to sleep. Great job by the way I learned a lot!

Never apologize for your accent. The fact that you give this amount of content free of charge out of a desire to teach is commendable in itself, and I am grateful you've done so. I'm barely in and can tell you know your stuff :)
No need to apologize for your accident bro, your very clear and this tutorial was easy to understand. Your very thorough and helpful.
About half a year into digital art now, and this is the video that got me started! I've commented before, but I'm just returning to thank you again!
Wow. Never in my life had I seen such a complete tutorial. It really helped me get a grip on the basic concepts of Krita, as well as some of the more complicated ones. Thank you so much; I can't wait to start using both my drawing tablet and Krita properly after seeing this video.

You never have to apologize about you accent and English skills, both are wonderful! Thank you so much for this tutorial/guide. It is rare to find videos on KZread that have any length to them. This length of video allows us to stay focused instead of bouncing around all over KZread. No more watching videos 5-15min in length that repeat the same information over and over. Merci beaucoup!
I had just installed Krita and was looking for a quick tutorial. When I saw this one I was like "YIKES! It's 3 hours long!" But I started watching in bits and pieces and I'm really glad that I did. I was using Autodesk for a long time and my drawings/paintings were just so amateurish that I gave up. I decided to try again and so watched this. I'm grateful for this and made a lot of notes. Thank you!
your accent is lovely and your english is as good as it gets i really appreciate your taking the time to make this and sharing your knowledge thank you :)

Most artists that I've worked with in the past have 0 formal training so keep your head up high. I recently started graphic design because of my colleagues in web development, I was always good at painting and pencil sketches as a hobby but I had 0 experience in digital art. Hence why I am here
I've been using krita for years and never learned I could do half the keyboard shortcuts shown here. Absolutely lovely tutorial, I learned lots!
39:04 the shortcut for filling the foreground colour is shift + backspace
This isn't a tutorial, it's more like a complete course, packed with amazing info!
More than a tutorial it is a real course. I really can't thank you enough for this amazing video, which must have cost you many hours of work. You managed to provide all the necessary and useful information to tackle this beautiful program. Again, thank you very much for a great job.
Thanks a lot for this long tutorial! I was able to learn so much more than with short ones because you got into the details. Especially the tools section was very useful and the demo section :D
This is good stuff, thanks for taking the time to create the tutorial and focusing on the real world applicable things someone starting out would need to know.
Great tutorial, thank you so much! I know I'll be returning to it often whenever I need a reminder.
Just discovered your channel. Have to say, you're an absolute legend!
All of their apologizing for the accent was so cute🥺😄❤️This tutorial is great! Thank you!
The best video i stumbled upon on! I used to draw a lot and now I'm getting back to it and trying to do some digital art, so a reminder of basics of drawing and a tutorial on a digital art program was just what i was looking for
I am so thankful to you for this expansive and in-depth yet easily understandable tutorial, you've saved me from so much anxiety. When I opened Krita I was very exhausted just trying to figure out the tools. Your video singlehandedly saved me from going into a sad bout of "I won't be able to do this". Bless you
Such a comprehensive tutorial! Thank you for making this, really helps a newbie

Thank you so much for this tutorial, it really really helped! You're a fantastic, amazing presenter, extremely well done video
THANK YOU!!!!!! THIS IS AMAZING! I haven't found another video as helpful as yours. I seriously cannot begin to tell you how much I needed this.
This is one of the absolute best tutorial videos I have ever seen. You have made transitioning to Krita so much smoother. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm brand new to digital art and super rusty in traditional. This video was much needed for me!
Krita rocks, and this helps a lot to get into the basics. What an awesome tutorial! And nice tutor, too. Thanks very much for this :)
Thank you so much this tutorial it really helped me a lot, as a beginner this is a gem
This was the one of the best tutorials out there. Both for Krita and basic drawing part. Especially faces with random shapes part, love it!
I followed this tutorial with krita open and am quite amazed at how nice things turned out. Felt like an average classroom session!
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I've been drawing on paper all my life and have only recently decided to delve into digital painting and drawing. This makes the learning curve MUCH easier!
Thank you so much!!!! This is exactly what I needed. I've never gotten into all the stuff you can do with the selection + transform tools and the 3D rotation tip blew my mind. I created a pretty good looking brick wall with it and as a person who never bothers with drawing backgrounds, being able to do that so easily really opens doors to me. Super fun. I'm only thirty minutes into this tutorial but already felt the need to comment something. If you ever make another Krita/digital art tutorial I'll be looking forward to it! and hey, your English is absolutely fine and very easy to understand. You seem like such a pleasant person :)
Most comprehensive and thorough tutorial that I have seen. No BS and all the good stuff. Thank you!!!!
Thank you - that was an awesome tutorial! And it obviously took a sizeable portion of time to make.
Did he just Apologise For *having an accent* Noooooo. I'm just you made this video. I just started using Krita and KZread suggested this, which is awesome! I feel very in over my head, but didn't even think to try watching a KZread video.
This is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, and your English is fantastic! I went from feeling completely intimidated by the idea of getting started with digital art to really excited to dive right in. And I'm only halfway through the video!
Such a stunning art work. I really impressed. Thank you for the nice tutorial. Looking forward to your next new video. 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Omg... this... thank you so so much for this tutorial! 💗 I've been struggling and will be going over this video several times to get my act together. Thank you!!!
What a wonderful choice of topic for another one of your much-appreciated videos!
Awesome tutorial! I used to draw a lot when I was younger and wanted to give digital a try. I downloaded Krita because it was free but I was overwhelmed. You've cleared a lot of that up. Thanks so much!
"Im sorry for my French accent" Bro that makes the tutorial even better to listen to 😭😂
OMG Thank you so much!!!!!!! Just a few questions: 1) How did you reselect the circle at 2:03:42 2) How did you draw such a perfect shadow at 2:09:08?

This is just what I needed! Easy to understand and everything was covered. Thank you so much ☺️ I’d advice anyone watching to watch at 1.5x speed just cus it’s a long video.
Just downloaded Krita the other day, saving this to have a go while I watch the rest. What I've seen seems pretty straightforward but very helpful. Thanks for this 👌
Amazing video, such a good explanation for everything, its just the peak of any tutorial video, the father of tutorials. Keep up the good work!
Amazing presentation! Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to get into digital art for years (I’ve been doing traditional for 2 decades) but it’s always been intimidating for me. This tutorial was perfect and I finally feel confident to get started!

Excellent Krita tutorial. Thank you so much!
thank you, thank you, thank you. thank you for share all this info and spend such amount of time. this was so helpfull.
Great job with the video tutorial! Informative and very helpful for beginners in digital painting software like myself. There are so many tips and tricks for using Krita which I simply couldn't find on my own and you manage to cover all the basics in one tutorial. Time to get to practicing them!
Tbh, I was a bit reluctant to start the video - my focus isn't that great and I can't pay attention to classes that are hours long, usually. But I decided I could split it in parts, if I needed to, so I gave it a shot and that was the best decision I've made. I'm not even half way there yet, but I managed to learn so much already that I felt the need to write a comment. I had been learning how to use Krita for a couple of days, but there's a few details that I think it'd take months, at the best, for me to find out without your help. Thank you so much for posting the video, your tips are just as amazing as the entire lesson and I couldn't be more grateful! All the love!
thank you, a very thoughtful presentation.
Never deny your origin, be proud and don't apologize, your English is clear and precise, that's all that counts. Your accent sounds nice.
2:20 UM DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR UR FRENCH ACCENT! You and David Renoy are the two krita people who are carrying be with learning art right now, SO THANK YOU.
A little over two months ago, I watched this video to help me get started with digital art! Today I'm back to say thank you for the video! I've been having so much fun with art, and I can't wait to see where I end up in the future!
