He's actually still pretty smart in the comics. His parents just don't like that he has average grades and prefers/is amazing at sports. It's shown that he repairs and upgrades the old pride tech (especially the leap frog, the Prides batmobile) all the time.

YES even though it's targeted more towards a younger audience, Runaways is one of my faves. The new run is great so far. Btw, on the topic of younger heroes, I'd love it if you did a Young Avengers video (sorry if you already have and i somehow missed it).

Hey I know this is a 2 year old cement but I am realy trying to get som help and you seam to know alot abaut this so here is my question: I have read runaways volume 1 (a book with the first 18 comics) and have a Hard time understanding what comes next i have understood it to be ether True belevers or tenage wasteland but I am unshure. If you can anser I woud be realy hapy

From what I remember, Karolina seemed more concerned about the political ramification of the marriage than the husband/wife. But granted that bit was super weird.

I just remember the one page about the whole husband/wife thing, but I think it was less “shapeshifts into a woman” and more that the skrull are gender neutral. I think that it was just kind of skipped over.

Wtf are comics sometimes? Some of this stuff sounds absolutely back shit insane

I love the idea of the runaways and some of their story lines, but their art has always been something I really dislike. The new revival seems better, so I now might check that out.

I got the Runaways because it was at my school's book fair and it reminded me of Maximum Ride for some reason. Alex's betrayal shook me. Also while reading it I was oblivious to the fact that it was a Marvel property. I didn't know much about most of Marvel's characters outside of the big ones in movies at the time. The series was a treat!

Since I always have a soft spot for super powered teams made up of powerful teenagers, I have grown quite attached to The Runaways. The first story arc was great and after that it has been pretty hit or miss for me, but I still love the team themselves. Thankfully the recent series bringing the team back together by Rainbow Rowell has been quite solid both with characters and story. I think that a lot of it has to do with the fact that she is a YA author and usually spends her time writing about teen characters. I started to slowly watch the Hulu series and so far I like it quite a bit too.

I'm only on the first issue of the new series but I hope this Run doesn't leave any loose ends like the last one did. I've loved seeing the occasional Runaway cameos in other comics but I'm glad they have their own series again and a TV series on the way too.

DSoulA3 it's definitely Not as good as Teen Titans imo. Don't waste your money. Unless you wanna watch the Hulu XMen show: Legion. Now that show is amazing!!!!! It's about Professor X's son. That is a show well worth paying $12/mo for.

They’re not rlly the same though, Teen Titans is more of an “Teenage Superhero team”, basically like the Young Avengers. The Runaways is more of a “Runaway teenagers vigilante against evil parents and bad guy”, sorta like that

I think after the first run it should have ended and maybe make a few guest appearance's here and there but the new run is pretty good which makes me very happy

I read this series before I even knew it was a TV show!!

I watched this video back to back.

(Notices the words "forgotten teams" in the description, then notices a bunch of related videos on the same topic, notices the description also has the word "Hulu" in it) _Of course_ it'd be some sort of new Marvel TV or Movie thing....

I'm excited for when you do a episode on Molly she beat up so many people (like that time she punched the punisher in the nuts) and turned down offers from a lot of super teams

Actually never heard of _The Runaways_ until the show went into production (and the current trailers), and I was just watching a 'The History of..' video last night about them; they sound really interesting, I'm more interested in checking out the show now. It seems like it should do fine as a series actually just based off of what I learned from this video (The CW would have been a good place for them over Hulu, in my uninformed opinion). Can't wait for your character-focused videos of each member.

Chris Dixon More like ABC or Freeform. CW is owned by WB that's why the DC shows are on it. And looking at the trailers they are way better off at Hulu with the great practical effects and CGI

Thanks for the correction, I mentioned CW but was actually thinking of/meant Freeform 🤦🏾. I'm unfamiliar with the lineup on Hulu (only know a few shows) but based off the trailers of Runaways, the nice practical effects and CGI, I agree with your comment about Hulu being a good place for the show. (coming from someone that never heard of The Runaways until this year, so my opinion was based off of them being teens with abilities and Freeform being a decent place for those shows e.g Cloak & Dagger, Riverdale, etc).

Not 2 issues, 2 volumes. A volume is a series. When you start a new volume, you have a new #1 issue. For example, there are 4 volumes of The Amazing Spider-Man, as there's been 4 #1s.

I really wish they could've kept it going from the Homeschooling comics, but apparently the new one is good.

I don't read comics because there are too many! But Inwould likento getvinvolved but if I jeed to know a charachters origin or a event I will just search it

I stopped reading around the time of Ultrons son because my stepdad didn't have the other issues 🤣

I miss the show I really enjoyed it I’m hoping it gets a revival as a Disney+ Original series since I feel they can perfectly continue from where it left off but this time fully introduce it into the MCU since they were still wanted by the end of season 3 maybe superheroes can start tracking them down like in the comics then by the end of a potential season 4 the post credit scene hints at/leads us into them going to be part of the Secret Invasion show but if not maybe they can just reboot the whole series starting from the beginning again either way is fine with me as long as they keep the same cast cause I actually liked who they chose to play as each of them I feel they look just like them so I wouldn’t want them to be recasted if a revival or reboot does come out

I was thinking about the DC carecter's. (Young Justice s. 2) For me, a person who is not as much of a comic reader (yet), it's actually easy to make that mistake. Just came from the Marvel tl'dr: runaweys.

The comic Marvel universe doesn't really use dates since it complicates things. It's been 18 years since the original run and they're only like 3-4 years older
