I never like it when they dub the siren in later, it's always the incorrect sound! What should be a mighty Q ends up sounding like a little kid's battery operated toy siren from the 50s.

0:57 Someone did a really nice job on the conversion of that '70 Cadillac. It must have been a pain for the EMTs, having to crouch down in those old ambulances, but they got there in style.

Lol, a study was actually conducted in Rochester, MN that proved chest compressions were more effective in this style ambulance because the attendants were able to brace their backs against the ceiling! Sadly, out of hospital survival hasn’t really improved since this style of ambulance was phased out.

That is the same siren from Emergency! The yellow and white ambulance and engine 51!

What my z grandfather in Cambria drove..

At 6:11 you can see it looks to be a '67 or '68 Pontiac chassis that the coachworks is on. Quite a bit more scarce than a Cadillac of the same era. Good compilation from the original Hawaii Five-O series.

It's done by Superior. About the most common coach builder, but maybe not the most common chassis....although there were a great many of these Pontiac coaches.

@@STLSF though the siren that's actually heard on TV is a B&M S8., that same recording that would be used on "Emergency!" And "Cars"
