This is even better than the current German anthem. The third stanza of Das Lied der Deutschen is used as the current German anthem, and a part of an anthem takes away much of the original meaning. That is why this anthem should have been adopted by the West when Germany was reunited in 1990.

I'm an Afghan, and Afghanistan under communism along with Soviet backing had a promising future until the West interfered and ruined everything. Afghanistan under communism was a million times better than both the Taliban regime and the Western-backed "democratic" regime. And of course, the West twists the story by calling it a "Soviet invasion" - the same accusation the West made on Russia's involvement in Syria and Ukraine. As an Afghan, even though the Soviets lost in the end, I still appreciate them for helping to defend my country from U.S/Western imperialism.

It's not even that Communist. They sing about the mountains/plains/rivers in the first stanza, then the chorus goes "dear motherland, you are so beautiful", then in the second stanza they sing about the fallen fighters (for the liberation of Bulgaria, unrelated to Communism) and only in the third its about Communism. Source: I am Bulgarian. Also we kept that anthem after the transition in the late 80s.

I mean vietnam barely won any direct battles against american forces but they are genuises for winning and prioritizing in the public reputation front that ultimately caused american withdrawal. While again they still beat the americans the war wasnt a one little guy falcon punching a giant and defeating him is more like one little guy punching small weak punches and complaining to the people until the people and the press ultimately forces the giant out. Im reading into this too hard yes vietnam won but im just saying america definately did well in vietnam in terms of their ability to fight. i may sound like im de crediting the vietnamese victory but the vietnamese should still feel proud about their victory. but what im trying to say is the strongest military in the world still has is un beatable title even in the vientam war but the vietnamese are clever enough to outsmart them.

kampuchea was never a communist nation. pol pot operated under the guise of marxist-leninism without actually upholding any tenets of said ideology. he was a fascist who drove the nation into the dark age and waged war against Vietnam after the war.

Communism is a whole society, while democracy is a political system. Most nations were socialist, which is an economic system. Communism, if reached, will achieve total "democracy", while being stateless, classless and fully autonomic

you know that democracy and communism aren't opposites? it's like saying "no matter tall or brown, you can always be a good human" you can be tall and white or short and brown, you can be both, same with communism it can be a dictatorship or democratic, democracy is a form of rule and communism is an economic and political movement

small note: the Soviet anthem we know was only made the anthem in 1944, before then their national anthem was the Internationale

My favorite anthems: 1. Cuba 2. East Germany 3. Yugoslavia

East Germany has the best. It symbolises unification and peace. Hell, even the name "Auferstanden Aus Ruinen" or "Risen From Ruins" literally correlates to what happened to Germany following World War Two. It rose up from ruins. In my opinion, Germany should've used Auferstanden Aus Ruinen when they reunified.

Germany died the day of the Reunification. Our public transport is a failure, the digitilization an embarrassment, our eastern territories robbed and occupied, and our military being ill equipped and helpless. But hey, spend a few more billions for grandma and grandpa while the children, builders of the future, are left hanging. Being german is a crime now, only rainbow wokethink is acceptable now.

well, the video said that it's the anthem of Socialist Republic of VN (SRV), which essentially is the VN after 1975, before that there are the Democratic Reppublic of VN (The North) and of course the Republic of VN (The South), so there was no SRV or it's anthem before 1975, and only the North used it as their anthem since 1945, not the South

@@TK-oj2ml the South Vietnamese sang “Liberate the South” and Republic of Vietnam’s anthem is actually a communist song, arbitrarily changed the lyrics without the permission of the composer and the song was actually called "The Call to Youths" and was edited by the Republic of Vietnam to be "The Call to the Citizens". The interesting fact is that the composer who wrote this song is also the same person who wrote “Liberate the South”.

Trei Culori was not the anthem from 1947 to 1989. Romania had two other anthems before: "Zdrobite catuse in urma raman" and "Te slavim, Romanie". Trei Culori was adopted in the 1977.

The ddr anthem actually had lyrics the title of it is called Auferstanden aus Ruinen which means something like rises upon ruins because the nazis were there before

China gave up communism with the 1993 economic reforms. It kept only the autocratic elements of Maoism and became more capitalist then most Western nations. Now China has all the best and worst traits of capitalism, but none of the freedoms of democracy, only the oppressive state, violence and corruption of autocracy.

I have to admit: this was really the Czechoslovak Anthem we know (note - modern version of Slovak anthem is played more slowly, and one word was changed. Instead of "zastavme sa, bratia", there is "zastavme ICH, bratia").

@@nirvana3921 I kinda explained it but I’ll say it again, in the Cold War the USSR (Soviet Union) Lost and the U.S got to the moon first so it was considered a defeat for Soviets. And the "Always has been" joke is about 2 astronauts in space with guns so it has something to do with the race to the moon in the Cold War.

Socialist Republic of Romania was from 1977 to 1989, while from 1947 to 1977 was People's Republic of Romania. From 1947 to 1989 Romania changed 4 different national anthems.

After 1992, North Korea is not officially a communist state (Marxism-Leninism) but only a socialist state (Kim Il-Sunism).

Actually there weren't any communist state ever (technically is impossible to have a state and communism because communism is implied by the desolation of the state). Those states were socialist republics (or people's republics). Since 1992 North Korea is fully Juche and not Socialist Marxist-Leninist any more.

since you’re doing soviet ssr next, you should include the anthem for the kareli-finnish ssr, an ssr that ceased to exist in the 1950’s there’s also a few other short-lived SSRs, but i don’t think those are important good job on the video!

@KKcantgetright China in deed has a free market economy. But the main industrial and economic sectors are still owned by the government in the form of state-owned enterprises. And China never adopted the neoliberal model like other Western, free market liberal democracies. Which means that the lives of an average worker is increasing, whereas wages in the West haven't seen an increase since the 1970s. And your last claim about a hypothetical situation in which the KMT led the entire Chinese Mainland would be better? Based on what? KMT led Republican era China and that was a disaster. How else do you think that the CPC, as a tiny bunch of intellegentsia and revolutionaries was able to take the whole Mainland in the civil war? The KMT was deeply incompetent and unpopular, and also ruled Taiwan with a military dictatorship until the 80s.
