That’s because he was described in the media as a nutter. But he just has a strong sense of justice, same as a lot of men who were brought up in the good old days. Me included.

And couldn't post on a Joey Barton podcast, without mentioning this...Whilst Joey was at City, my Late Nan was getting autographs from several city players amongst a crowd of City fans. Whilst doing so, she dropped her purse over the barrier. And despite pleading to security, and several City players to please pick it up....ONLY Joey responded and did so. She never forgot that Joey. A true gent👍

don’t be put off Joey , keep going mate, your both doing a great job ‘in service ‘ to our community , we’re stronger together ! Plz don’t be deterred by any comments here. Thank YOU both of you and every one involved in this

The tide is a very long way from turning, indoctrination has been going on for at least 3 decades and on going so you need to double that to fix the indoctrination, things will get far far worse before they get better

I think we're seeing a bit of a star born in the 'common sense' media in Joey. He's become the voice of reason we never thought we needed. I've always been a believer that life lets you know your purpose even if you didn't want or ask for it which is why it always pays to keep an open mind for your path in life. I think fate and a total lack of a pair of balls on anyone else in the media has put Joey in this spot and I'm absolutely here for it.

Fantastic discussion. Don't always agree with both on everything but they made perfect sense on a lot of issues. Joey should still be in charge of the mighty Gas but at least he is free to speak his mind. Met him at our Wedding Party in the summer and was very easy going with my crazy mob asking for photos. Great podcast! I recommend going down the antivax rabbit hole at some point. Once you start looking, you'll be horrified

The description of education of the masses is brilliant. I've three boys, one is diagnosed autistic, the other two have very strong traits but were too social compared to the list. I've worked for 15 years in education. Adhd does exist however, you are right on the over labeling etc. The system does not rake the individual into account. They have to pigeon hole you so they can give a reason why they can not educate the child in front of them. My boys are all over 25 and are doing well. They just didn't fit the pigeon holes and as parents, we're proud of them. Good conversation gentlemen.

Just accidentally stumbled onto this podcast. What a fantastic accident it was. Listening to common sense being spoken and calling bullshit on the massive amount of bullshit being spewed out by MSM, is so wonderful to hear and gives me a little hope that we will get there in the end.

I am so happy that we’re having these conversations , we’re speaking up about ‘serious issues ‘ we ALL need to be aware and take this stuff seriously . I am making a stand stance on this stuff locally , bc it will and is affecting our children ( I am fierce strong but authentic compassionate mother ) who agrees with you btw Laurence on the Women not becoming Men thing also. IT isn’t you vs me , right and wrong anymore, we need to reclaim our country and common sense stuff , simples .

I personally think Reform are missing a big opportunity to take this Country forward in getting the GREAT back into it without you and your very reasonable ways of conversation and thinking.

Richard Grannon is a great mind and mental health practitioner you'd have a great convo with. Fascinating listening to you on Trigger the other week and on Pearl. Agree with you about Rafe Heydel-Mankoo. He’s great. Disagree about Richard Grannon. He’s a pseudo-intellectual and is flogging very expensive courses that purport to help people understand narcissism. You don’t need to pay for a course for that. Also, the ‘Dual Mothership’ theory he and Sam Vaknin espouse is a load of ****.in my opinion. Along with Rafe, I’d suggest Katie Hopkins, or Tommy (if he dares).

Was interested to read you'd just read a book on the Yugoslav wars, Joey. I've just finished 'The Fall of Yugoslavia' by Misha Glenny and found it fascinating. Wanted to read more and so would appreciate any recommendations, mate. Thought I was the only Knowsley native reading about such subject matter and so was pleasantly surprised to find out that's not the case!
