@gogmorgoaway I'll gladly apply the critical thinking skills needed to answer this question for you. You said: "this is why cars cost twice as as they did ten years ago" and I provided a correction by citing the actual reason for the cost of vehicles being significantly more than they were "ten years ago", not due to the size of screens, but the constant technological development needed to meet increasingly burdensome regulations, along with more aggressive union demands. You see, your fault was assuming that I was making a connection between the size of these screens and the things I actually said. This is what happens when you either fail to comprehend what's being said to you, or you're disingenuous and depend upon asserting things which were patently false.

I have a 2007 Pontiac Vibe with cloth seats, no heated/ventilated seats, no heated steering, no spa features, however, if I do want to have a spa experience, all i do is put some spa music on my phone, add a portable aromatherapy device, add a heated seat cover, recline my seat, and relax. And all that would cost me less than $100 on my $2400 car

Lincoln has put a lot of effort into making much better vehicles. They even brought a sea theme to their brand by naming their vehicles after ships in the ocean. Lol. I think it works well. This Nautilus should sell extremely well because of all of the features, and because of how much you're getting for the price. Leasing it first would be my best opinion. If anything breaks, it's all under warranty. No biggie.

And some days I work a 15+ hour shift, running equipments that’s determined to find my breaking point. So the idea of being able to leave the change house, walk out to my car, turn on spa mode as i take a 3 hour nap before driving 1 hour and 28 minutes back home sounds like an absolute wonderful idea.

Definitely a party trick pretty cool . It most likely uses a fragrance infused liquid u can replace. Some other manufacturers offer fragrances. The screen graphics and interior adjustment are just programing using the same electronics already installed so really nothing new to break its just a mode. The money is in the programing. Which for a cool frature probably did cost lincoln much in the big picture .

Perhaps Lincoln should instead spend more R&D time and money on engineering superior vehicles. Historically, American brands have always focused more on gimmicks and planned obsolescence. This is why the Japanese kicked their asses in the '80s and '90s.
