    He was a tremendous bolt of lightning ⚡ created by mother nature out of thin air, a fantastic combination of power and beauty. We've seen still photographs of lightning ⚡ bolts at the moment of impact, ferocious in its strength, magnificent in its elegance and at the moment of impact it lights up everything around it. So you can see everything clearly. Muhammad Ali struck us at the middle of America's night at the heart of its most gathering storm. His power toppled the mightiest of foes and his tense light shine on America and we were able to see clearly in Justice, Equality, Poverty, Pride, Courage, Laughter, Love, Joy, and Religious Freedom. - Billy Crystal -

    'Look at the middle east'. Are you actually looking and experiencing?? You are just depicting a tiny part of the Middle East through the television and media put in front of you. You obviously never visited the majority of beautiful middle eastern countries before. Ignorance is strong with you. So sad. Suggest you actually do more research and travel more instead of being naive like that.

    What a captivating eulogy! I am in joyous tears and laughter of Billy Crystal's wisdom and humor! When I heard of Mohammad Ali going to prison for his belief and his conviction that he stood up for humanity as Billy Crystal described best he stood up for all young men did not want to fight in unjust war when he stood up for himself.

    Nebur59 Yes indeed, I am a Liberal and proudly VOLUNTEERED and served in the U.S.Army. I am also proud of Ali for having the courage to stand up to to the heinous draft system. If he had been better connected (and a different color), he might have done the "dodge" of Bush (where your daddy arranges for you to pretend you are in the service); but he chose to address his objection to the war in Vietnam to the U.S. government personally with wisdom and intelligence. His decision cost him dearly, but he never flinched. He was a great human!

  • @nebur59

    @nebur59

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Pete Gotthardt I volunteered as well and served proudly during the Vietnam era, although I couldn't admit it then because of all the criticism I would have received. I was never sent to Vietnam (and I'm not white nor rich nor politically connected) just as most of the hundreds of thousands of members of the military who served during that time did not serve in a combat zone. So even though former pres Bush didn't go to Vietnam he didn't dodge the service, he served in the nat guard which is more than you can say for BClinton. It was the liberal leaning main stream media who would have hung Bush if it was true what Dan Rather was reporting about him. I too used to be a liberal until I gained the wisdom to realize that the liberal approach to politics is wrong, not stupid or evil just wrong.

    Hilarious comment considering Billy Crystal spends the bulk of his time living in Monte Cielo a GATED Community in Puntarenas, in the hills above the Pacific Ocean near Jaco and Pacific Palisades, CA (USA) another GATED community with security haha. Maybe tear down the gates and build bridges so we can all hang out in Billy's neighbourhood (Syrian refugees included) That way we can use his PRIVATE tennis courts, swimming pools, beaches etc Haha

    OMG. As he says you almost had to live in his time to realize how HUGE HE was his impact on black self-esteem at the time was HUGE. He was so confident, funny, and stood up for what he believed in. His POSITIVE impact on kids is uncountable. So he was incredibly popular to all, he was a worldwide star as he was so charismatic, before the era of selfies n fame for no reason. He was the epitome of a shining star. Wish we had more like him now. I forgot his title was actually taken from him and he was blocked from fighting!!! And kudo's to Billy Crystals family for the work they did in integrating music and civil rights support.

    I can’t get enough of Muhammad Ali. I have seen like dozens of videos of him by now. What a great man! I was born some 20 years after he retired from boxing, but his legend still lives on.
