in the cafeteria footage you can see a few people staying in there, most leave after Dylan starts the fire but I do believe one stayed in there until after the shooting stopped

@@SarinGasAttack Unfortunately that video is no longer available. I've also noticed that the home video footage Erica and Dylan recorded isn't on KZread, or at least not easily found with a search. Of course I can easily find both elsewhere on a number of different sites, but for playlist purposes, it would be nice to have access to both on KZread. Perhaps they somehow violate the terms and services?

@@michaeltrent2599 I recall hearing that KZread really doesn't like Columbine footage for whatever reason, especially the cafeteria footage. I'm not sure why.

The one survivor next to Isaiah and Matthew in the library was Craig Scott. He’s the brother of Rachel Scott and they had an argument on the way to school that morning. As soon as Dylan and Eric were gone Craig ordered everyone out of the library. As he and another classmate where driven away from the scene by police, his classmate pointed at girls body on the top of the hill. Craig would later realize that was Rachel.

Add lines to show the shots before the pic of the victim appears. It annoys me because it goes too fast (the pictures). Great work

This animation definitely helps simplify the Killers movements. However it would be worth noting the gun fight they had with responding Deputy Neal Gardner on the west entrance and also their subsequent firefights with police when they return to the library shooting through the library windows. Showing the placement of the propane tank bombs in the cafeteria would be a good visual reference as well. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department also has a timeline web page that shows in detail the killers movements as well as their interaction with witnesses and victims. It describes the shootouts throughout the entire incident with responding police. The timeline includes the arrival of various police and SWAT units as well as students being evacuated. This gives you a huge perspective as to the chaos and fluidity of the situation. This animation definitely helps illustrate the killers movement throughout the school on that horrific day.

I'd really like to, but many parts of Columbine are too ambiguous at the moment for me to make a really accurate animation.

have you heard the interview on youtube with neil gardner? the hour interview he gave. He stated that he had a shoot out with a tall person in a baseball cap in a long coat, who spun around near the entrance and fired 8 shots at. while he hid behind a car. I am guessing he meant Dylan. He said the person was tall and in all black, but he also stated he was wearing a white shirt which is confusing because Eric wore that. He later on in the video says he knew Dylan form theater department and identified it as him/ link to video: guA0fLavDDU at 1:07:20

There was a video of all 40 students in the library at the time with their pictures, but I guess it was taken down? It was really interesting but it seems like many videos were removed.

Yeah, I feel like it's getting more and more often, with videos getting deleted. Recently, Daniel768's channel got taken down, which is a shame, because it was a pretty big archive of Columbine-related material. Also, last year, CVA (Columbine Video Archives) resurfaced after an 8 month break, then disappeared a few months later, taking the videos down, and hasn't said a word since. If you'd like, I can make a short video about who's who in the library and publish it on the channel, which I'll do once I'm done with the Port Arthur animation.

@@SarinGasAttack Hey thanks, I think it humanizes the shooting a little more to see all those who were in the library at the time, not just the ones shot and killed. There are some interviews with some of those who survived and the other video had yearbook photos of all of them, it sucks to see some good content being removed for seemingly no reason. And those channels you mentioned, especially CVA who was so into it with his posts and speculation was a huge part of what kept interest here on youtube. I'm also interested in 9/11 and I noticed a lot of videos have disappeared to, not con$ spiracy videos or anything either, who knows... Anyway, keep up the good work, I've come back to your videos time and again and really enjoy your content!

it could have gotten worse if they infiltrated the Choir room which was filled with over 40 people. I really wished the Librarian was tough enough to lock the Library door and the Dispatcher could have told something that hiding under very exposed tables was a bad idea.

Yeah, the issue was by the time the operator even suggested to lock the doors, there were gunshots right next to the doors. Even if Patti wanted to, I doubt she could, since she was an art teacher and didn't work in the library. It's unfortunate in hindsight, but in the heat of the moment, it would've been nearly impossible.

7:31, possibly going into the kitchen area to try and blow up an oven or something like that? since their main bomb failed. the official reports said they tried to open a door but kids held it closed so they gave up. bare in mind they stopped killing people @ this point so they didnt just shoot holes in the door.

@@katharinehiggins7216 In the police report it says, in the library on a desk nearby the bodies of Eric and Dylan some brain matter was found which was Eric's. The brain matter was covered by an oily substance which came from the molotovs Dylan was throwing. So, it is believed, after Eric shot himself, some of his brain matter landed on a desk, Dylan threw one last Molotov cocktail, some parts of the Molotov cocktail landed on the desk, covered the brain matter, and then Dylan offed himself

Really well-done video. One question: at the very end, is that a pipe bomb that Dylan throws at Patrick Ireland under the desk? Thanks for the reply.

seriously do the next one. this was very comprehensive, however, there are definitely some improvements that can be made that others have stated. I'm very interested to see the next version. hopefully with shot directions, victim numbering and perhaps who shot whom. who? whom? I never remember.

Also Daniel Mauser was shot once and then he shoved a chair into Eric's face. Then eric shot him killing him. Also after eric shot Cassie Bernal Eric's gun ricochet and hit him in his nose breaking it.

Great job. A question. Before killing himself, the animation shows Dylan doing something to an injured person and then shooting himself. 1 what did he do to that person? 2 I thought that Eric and Dylan killed themselves at the same time. No?

1. He sets a molotov cocktail onto the table that Patrick Ireland lay underneath. 2. Because nobody in their vicinity remembers their suicides, it's not 100% conclusive. However, evidence is pointing to Eric killing himself first. Here's a brief explanation about it: Dylan lit a molotov cocktail and put it on table 15. There was a piece of brain under the oil that was in the molotov, likely Eric's due to his method of suicide. However, this can be disproven because their molotovs had a fuse on it. A more solid piece of evidence is this: Eric killed himself with his shotgun with his knees partially drawn up first. When he died, his legs extended, and then Dylan shot himself, falling near or onto Eric's pant leg and bleeding onto it.

why would dylan and eric just leave the library let so many people go like that, if they werent sure if there was anyone there, they should have at least heard a lot of footsteps of large crowd of people fleeing to the other exit of the library right after they left it, but they chose to ignore it and went on their own, i guess they were just really aiming to have fun while doing the whole thing and not taking as many lifes as they can

It's a "cricket"-a bomb made from a CO2 powerlet filled with gunpowder. Eric threw it under table 15, but it was thrown away, and exploded farther south in the library

I combined the 2 shots that hit him. The first one hit his right middle finger and right ear, and grazed his scalp and right index finger. He then shoved a chair at Eric, and Eric fired a second shot, hitting him in the nose and coming out his neck/back. The fatality of this wound comes from the fracture of the upper neck and blood loss.

I can't imagine it wasn't planned, or, at least, there had to have been communication between the two. But, there are several different evidence pieces that prove Eric died before Dylan.

Imma be honest I think I have PTSD from this incident and I wasn’t there or anything it’s just the stories and the pictures and videos and audios all make me want to throw up. My anxiety gets bad and I start to sweat and shake. I want to cry but I can’t and the thing that confuses me the most...I absolutely hate this video and your other videos like it but I can’t stop watching it. I’ve watched it over and over so many times. Each time I almost can’t take it but I’ll come back in about a month and watch it all over again. I study the people each one of them in this video. I do research. I torchere myself so much by doing this but I can’t stop. Again I was not there. I didn’t know anyone either but something about it just makes me sick. I wish I never saw this video but I was forced to watch it for my active shooter training since I’m an assistant teacher. I was forced to listen to the audio of the 911 call by the librarian. I hate it. I hate it so much. These videos haunt me.

Eric and dylan would be so proud to know people are researching their work so deeply that they have these animations showing what they did honestly

Aimless af. Their plan completely failed. The walk from the cafeteria to the library must've been a somber walk, and to come back to the library to see less dead bodies than you thought initially. Eric and Dylan died pissed off and disappointed.

2 by gunfire: Patti Nielson and Dave Sanders. I'm sure others were very minorly injured, such as Eric Kritzer, who dove away from a bomb and hit a chair (At 11:27:29 AM, he was not hit by any shrapnel)

I don't believe Rachel was targeted over other people. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Eric shot several times in that direction in a volley of bullets; Eric seemed to have shot at everyone outside that was seen from his position (towards the west entrance, down the stairs, in the nearby field, and by the soccer field).

A. There isn't any useful video footage from the cops of this event that hasn't been released. B. The animation mainly follows the diagrams at the link below, which were compiled by police investigators based on staff, student, and other witness statements. "IO subsequently confirmed with Patti Nielson she was aware of the fact that she had been quoted in the Rocky Mountain News article as documented above. When asked if that was an accurate account of the incident occuring on 04/20/99, Patti Nielson responded in the negative. Patti Nielson told IO she at no time has ever spoken with either Lynn Bartels or Carla Crowder (News staff writers responsible for the article). Patti Nielson went on to state to her knowledge she has never been interviewed by a Rocky Mountain News editor... Patti Nielson stated she could have envisioned a 'scenario' where the two suspects did something like a countdown and then shot themselves simultaneously. lol looks quite abit off, for example in the end they killed themselves at the same time even doing a countdown.

Холли Элизабет that must have been from someone else, I watched the real video footage and they did indeed have a reluctant countdown till the end

Lucas H There is no real footage. What you saw was probably the clip from the movie Zero day which is loosely based on Columbine. People post it and claim it's real footage. Truth is there is no footage of Eric and Dylan killing themselves or anyone and the countdown is not true. Dylan did indeed throw a Molotov cocktail before killing himself. After 19 years I can't believe people still believe that movie footage is real. 🙄

There is no "real video footage" that is released of the time they killed anyone/themselves. I think you are thinking of Zero Hour which is a remake documentary but looks quite real.

They did not count down, Some article made that up and lied that patti said that, She even confirmed she never did say that.
