There are a lot of other things as well like not finding his lighter and taking at least 12 shots to kill a single person

So basically he was so incompetent the only people he managed to kill (which keep in mind were only because he couldn’t go after his original targets) were: An elderly woman on the sidewalk who didn’t even think he was a threat because of his incompetence and told him he’s being too loud A guy who put himself in a corner and stayed still, and even then he struggled to kill him.

I know a lot of people see this as a failure. But then you consider 2 too many people are still dead. Yes there are other things he could've done like ram people with his car or slash them with his sword, but it looks to me that he just wanted to play with his improvised weaponry, which again, still killed 2 actual human beings.

well not necessarily. the lutty even when made properly is a jam-o-matic (designed is just flawed). but how he managed to fuck up something as simple as a slamfire shotgun is beyond me. also: he studied chemistry and still failed to make bombs and smokeless gunpowder (he used black powder). tl;dr he clearly was just incompetent

Seeing how you did this one the next shooting you should cover is the Christchurch one

There’s so many things to learn from this: - Shooters can be absolute idiots with no sense of direction - Shooters can be self-aware with how dumb they are - If you see a man with grenades and a gun, don’t walk up, provoke him and make your presence known. - When a gunman has shot you and left for a solid minute, try to leave or call for help. - When a gunman has failed to shoot you two times, leave before he has the chance to actually shoot you. - If you get shot a second time, play dead. Try not to make it obvious you’re alive. - If you’re hiding with someone, take them with you when you both escape. That’s one less thing that will haunt you.

I liked the video, it was cool that you accurately animate what nearby cars were doing. Lucky dude was totally incompetent, he was right to call himself a failure. Hope to see more lesser known cases like this.

It's insane how this guy managed to do all of these things and the police never showed up. Luckily, although 2 innocent people lost their lives, it was a failure. Moral of the story is to always keep doors locked.

They did show up, but they showed up right after he left. Later when he killed 1 person at a kebab shop, he reentered his car with police waiting for him, and as he shot at them, got shot and then drove away he passed the synagogue again, with police missing him. Reason for the slow response is because mass shootings in Germany are extremely rare

Thank you! Yeah, I definitely agree that this shooting failed miserably. If the shooter used other weapons, namely some of the bombs he brought, he could have killed many more people, so I'm glad he was a loser in that regard, and, like you said, it's a shame he even managed to kill 2 people.

And then later...the shooter tried escaping from prison twice. Once he jumped a fence, was free for five minutes, and then recaptured. Then he took some hostages using a "device", was promptly overpowered and recaptured. If you ever feel bummed about your results in life, just think about this guy. Only way this fool could do anything right is if he stacked two failures. 🤦‍♂

Thanks! I've heard of it, but I don't think I'd do one on it, simply because I don't think it would be interesting to look at (since the shooter stays in one spot).

Atleast he admitted it was a failure.

This kinda reminds me of the scene from Schindler's List, where both of Goeth's pistols failed to fire. The only thing is, the issue with Goeth was his pistol, and the issue with this shooter (and every other shooter) is his intelligence.

This shooter was a looser😂 he even Said it him self!

You should do one on Campo Elías Delgado's Shooting Spree in 1986, it's not very well known but pretty impactful.

How the second half of the Christchurch shooting played out would be interesting as well. Idk, there's a lot of shootings you could focus on. You're quite good at these.

As terribly executed as this was, I don’t think anyone would have died if they were more competent themselves. I’m sorry for the victims but how are you “annoyed” by a bomber with a gun? Sure it’s homemade and not America, but still. Or allow them to unjam and reload their gun without any attempt of fight or flight.

Shock is a bizarre thing, and most people think the best (i.e. it's not a gun, but something else). You're forgetting the third option of flight or flight, which is freeze-some people get paralyzed by shock and just sit there or don't think properly.

The tokyo gas attack would be IMMENSELY difficult, the perpetrators just pierced some bags of sarin on a train and left, and there’s too many injured to animate exactly.

It depends on the actual shooting and how busy I am. But, it normally takes around 3 months. The Red Lake shooting is on my list, but I'm not sure how easily I can do it with the information released.

The main source I got these from are in the descriptions of both of the videos you mentioned. I'll link them now: SH: sandyhookanalysis.blogspot.com/2014/05/sandy-hook-school-shooting-analysis.html MSD: www.fdle.state.fl.us/MSDHS/CommissionReport.pdf A lot of it is finding legal documents or released information by the police. The Sandy Hook one was someone else's interpretation of the shooting, which really made perfect sense with the evidence released by the state police. The MSD shooting is the main case report released by the state police. The Port Arthur main source is the court hearing, which details what happened in great detail. And the Yom Kippur shooting's main source is the livestream of the shooter (which is very uncommon to have video evidence).

I can't do the Virginia Tech shooting in a in-depth animation with the evidence currently released, but I might try, in the future, to make a more vague, while still accurate, animation on it, to get around the lack of information. I haven't researched the Santa Fe shooting, but I also don't think there's enough released information. However, I believe some will be released in the future, so I'll revisit this if it does.

He was likely just paralyzed by shock, which can do crazy things in times of absolute panic. In hindsight, it's obvious, but he didn't know if Balliet had a better weapon waiting or if Balliet would chase him or what the situation was.
