but you gotta go with your hands up the whole time or you go hands up the whole time on cannibal those are the 2 most fun to go on, plus on cannibal you really see your life flash before your eyes

@@infinitel2150 Yes, Colossus is really tame compared to Cannibal. If someone has a hard time with Colossus, they shouldn't even try Cannibal because they would krap their pants.

Love this ride. The best part about it is that the line moves really fast. The ride is short, but thrilling enough to keep you wanting to go on it again.

This is easily one of the best rides at lagoon. When I rode it for the first time I went on it an extra 5 more times!

I went to lagoon today. It was awesome. Lagoon has always been one of my favorite places

I hope the don't get rid of this and Jet Star 2. They are two very unique coasters that should be presurved.

I just went on a 100+ degree day, and Colossus was tearing faces off! I've never felt it so intense! So fun!

I always feel like my head could get decapitated on this ride because you are so close to the concrete!!

My first steel coaster :') I rode this when I was 8 years old in 2003 lol.

I just realized when East Coaster General is talking to the other guy with him, the other guy says "we never get rid of rides." Who was that he was riding with?

I sat on the front row yesterday with my 10-year-old son. It was awesome. Lines were short and we got right back on for another round. I was about the same age when I rode it for the first time. That's when Colossus was still pretty new and was the most thrilling ride at Lagoon. I hope they keep it going forever. It's still my favorite.

I love this ride! My kids love the new Terror Ride.

My favorite part of this ride, definitely is the part at 1:30, if you are on the right side of the train, you can hear the wind against the ground. One of my favorite rides, next to The Samurai and Spider.

It’s my 3rd fav in the park, but my 1st is cannibal and my 2nd is wicked.

This is my absolute favorite roller coaster, not at this theme park, but ever! It definitely has a bit of a thrill to it, but that’s what makes it so great! The first time I ever rode this, it was a bet. If I rode it, I got five bucks, if I didn’t I had to tell my crush I liked him when I saw him again. Obviously, I would rather take a little thrill over embarrassment so I rode it and had a blast. Rode it 4 times after this and it was so amazing every single time. Would totally recommend this ride and the entire theme park! (If you go to the park, you HAVE to ride the spider, it’s one of the most unique coasters I have ever been on!)

This coaster helped me get over my fear of roller coasters

The legendary Schwarzkopf coasters are great. From what I see, it's a good coaster, but they could've added a another lift and 2 more loops the ride. Hope that the Colossus the Fire Dragon doesn't get removed, ever. They should upgrade the ride and put some Blue LED lights on the track and Yellow LED lights on the loops.

Another unit of this model operated in São Paulo, Brazil, between 1982 and 1985. It was called just Colossus and was painted in red and yellow. People have found memories of it.

Even after riding tons of newer coasters, I still love Colossus. It is really well designed and has the best classic coaster vibe with the lift, drop, and loops. It's not the fastest, highest, or most extreme out there, but when you are on it, it seems that way! A fun feel of pure acceleration and coming "dangerously" close to the supports. It's pretty smooth, too. Colossus, Cannibal, and the (white) Roller Coaster are Lagoon's core coaster trio that scream "SUMMER!" to me.

This one and the white roller coaster are my favorite rides!! And Samurai!!

wait until they start using the panoramic google earth video camera to record these things, then making it available with full head tracking for oculus rift.

Even with cannibal, the back row on this ride in the right hand seat is by far my favorite ride in the park.

Fun fact: this ride used to have a camera so you could take pictures on it but a lot of people made inappropriate hand gestures and other things so they got rid of it

I remember the 1st time I rode this ride. It was 1993. I went by myself because my friend was too scared to go. I was scared while standing in line. But i knew I had to do it. Got on and the car started up the hill. As it got higher i was saying to myself why did i do this. Then it got to the top and i just closed my eyes until it was through the 2nd loop. Once i opened my eyes i was like that was fun. I got off the ride grabbed my friend and said im going again. Ive been on this ride at least 200 times in my life

Colossus the Fire Dragon is one of my favorite rides at Lagoon I like it but my parents are my dad mostly and my brother are too scared to go on that ride and my dad's 43 and my brothers 11

I’ve been on that and the scary part is since there is only a tight lap bar you stay in mostly because the loop is soooo fast it holds you in. If you got stuck idk how well it would hold you.

I went here yesterday with my cousins it was there first time at an amusement park and like loved this ride. And my cousin accidentally brought is phone on the ride so he wanted to record.tn but accidentally stopped it 20 seconds in. And only got his knees.

I haven't ridden this but I rode Laser at Dorney Park and it wasn't super thrilling or anything but it was still a nice coaster for younger kids and other people who aren't ready for the big loopers like the B&M floorless, inverted, sit-down, wing, and dive coasters. I was young when I rode it and I really enjoyed the loops but my short-attention span couldn't handle the super slow lift hill lol.

We went to lagoon about 3 weeks ago and i was to scared to go on it whith my unncle and his friends and my little sister was brave enough to ride it and netlxt tome i go there ill go on it with my nana

i am deathly afraid of roller coasters, and my friends are going to make me do all of the big rides next sunday. i am so freaked out

What astounds me to this day is this isn't a permanent installation. It seems only in 1999 did Lagoon commit to permanent rides with installation of The Rocket. (I suppose it's 1991 Sky Scraper counts, though.)

yeah go on Thanksgiving and hunting season we had to wait on the ride for people to go on it and there was only 117 people there it was so much fun

You can legit see my street from the top 😱

This IS the same ride as the Laser in Dorney Park in Allentown, PA.

There's only a few Schwarzkopfs still around. Lagoon has 2, Fire Dragon and Jetstar 2.

Retired and season pass holder. I ride this now once to twice a week.

This is the only way I can experience a roller coaster because I’m terrified of hits and I get massive head aches unless there smaller

Why they say not to stick your hands up is because you can easily get your hands amputated and your latch can come off. Lagoon should add the seating to the Colossus that is the same as Wicked and Cannibal.

Legit don't extend your arms because you will fly fast support beams at like 60mph, a couple inches away. It's super ratchet.

I rode in colossus a lot of times last week

I loved this ride but there is a rough stop near the end

Does this ride have the safety bars that go over you or over you lap. I'm going to try getting over my fear of rides like this is it fun, scary it will be my first time on it! Wish me luck.

Whenever I see this ride there's literally never a line. My mom went on like 10 times while I was on the ride next to it. (I forgot the name of it)

On the loop da loops oi was facing down every time i was on this so yeah

When it is nighttime, the lights on the loops makes it look like the McDonalds M logo.
