Log Flume (4K) POV - Lagoon Amusement Park

Log Flume is a water ride located in Pioneer Village. Riders travel in a log-shaped boat around a level tree-lined waterway at a slow speed. After a minute and a half journey, the boat is lifted to the top of a 30-foot hill by a conveyor belt. At the top of the hill, the boat suddenly tips downward into a water-filled chute and races back down, causing a large splash when it re-enters the waterway. Riders are seated inline in two seats that fit 2-3 people.
The ride was manufactured by Arrow Development in 1968 and was originally installed at Pixieland in Oregon in 1969, and was bought by Lagoon and installed in 1975 after Pixieland had closed down.
Much of the ride's rustic theming was not originally part of the ride when it was in Oregon. When Lagoon installed the ride they added split-log paneling to the ride's edges, log-cabin like structures and a wooden waterway with a waterwheel that serves no functional purpose. The waterwheel is actually turned by a motor and not the small amount of water falling into it.
At one time Lagoon had presented plans to the Farmington city council that included an expansion of Log Flume, as well as a new rapids ride. Rattlesnake Rapids was eventually built with a different layout that does not allow for the proposed extension of Log Flume.

I know alot of people may have not been crazy about this one but I loved this ride. Whenever rattlesnake rapids was too full this one was always a good second. It's just a nice and relaxing log flume.

I rode it over 40 years ago. This time around we did all the coasters (just last week). Lagoon has a pretty impressive lineup for it's size. And always adding more.

This is my home park. I’ve been on this so many times haha. I’ve seen people get absolutely drenched and some people come off dryer than they went on 😂. I think it has to do with the weight of the people in the front of the log. I will warn people though that on a hot day this line can get huge and takes much longer than Rattlesnake Rapids, so if you’re looking to cool off go with the rapids or the splash pad fountains near the entrance.

This ride got demolished recently to make room for a new ride. The rumors that are floating around suggest a minecart themed roller coaster or dark ride. Maybe a mix of the 2

  • @iiButterflyii1

I’d… not like that. I hate the idea of that. They don’t need another dark ride considering they have 3. I feel like they should add another hanging coaster like the bat but bigger for older people that don’t like the bat. There needs to be another thrilling ride. Primordial was a good addition to the dark ride experience at lagoon but we don’t need another. This is just my opinion. And it have it Minecart themed? Why? I don’t get it.
