COLLECTING MY SLS! First Time My Black Series Trio are Together

It's been far too long, but finally my SLS AMG Black Series returns to @TheShmuseum and brings my AMG Black Series trio together for the first time! With a first proper run out for the C63 Black Series, it's off to pick up the SLS and bring both back to join the GT Black Series.
Having bought the SLS Black Series around 1.5 years ago, it's had some amazing outings but during my visit to the US earlier this year it feel fowl to some component failures. Combining this with the immense delays to replacement parts at the moment, has meant that it's been gone for far too long but it's finally time to head to Avantgarde Automotive near Bristol to pick it back up.
For the outing, we're taking the new C63 AMG Black Series that I recently collected from Exclusive Autos, but to this point have not driven other than bringing it home from the collection day. A perfect outing therefore to enjoy one of the 6.2l V8s to go collect the other, and what a symphony they are together!
To top off the return of the Shmeemobile to the garage, is to finally put together my dream trio of the Black Series models for the first time; the most recent 3 of the 6 that have ever existed in the forms of the GT, SLS and C63. With hopes of the GT BS on the horizon, after adding the SLS BS to the collection, it was always in my hopes that one day I could add the C63 BS as well and having recently done that, it's truly special to now have them side by side at The Shmuseum.

The fastest Black Series is, also, the quietest. I’m sure Tim will deal with that soon enough. Gercollector’s GT Black Series sounds amazing.

GerCollectors GT doesn't sound that good *yet*, Opus did a great job but there's a long ways to "good" or to get anywhere near as good as any of the normal 63 AMGs sound

The SLS is finally home, and that means my Black Series trio together for the first time! The frustrations of the problems certainly delayed the SLS coming to the Shmuseum for the first time but Avantgarde have looked after it well and soon the sound system installation can be complete too. It's amazing to have it back, I've missed this car!

If changing colour of the C63, there’s always Opal Fire Red? would look pretty awesome next to Solar Beam yellow and the blue 😁 Great to see the SLS back!

Did you know that your SLS has a racing history? I came across an article which reported about its participance at the Tuner GP on the Hockenheim Ring back in 2014.

Good question. for me the SL65 is the king of the BS. Such a beautiful car,best Mercedes ever.

Hi DJN and Magnus. We ran out of time to do any investigation into that at this visit even though we were aware of it. The pre-requisite was always to get the car running and driving again first and we were anxious to get the car back to Tim as soon as possible as many of you were asking where the car had gone! We have no doubt we will be seeing the car again in future and when we do, that will be near the top of the list to investigate.
It's been so long, I had almost forgotten how stunning the SLS Black is in Mystic Blue.

It’s so much better seeing them driving from the outside, let’s you see how good they really do look. The SLS is still my favourite of the three, the C63 is really growing on me.

I have a normal 6.2 C63 and even that sounds better than the gt black series

@@all-caps3927 the GT has a flat plane crank engine (new to this model) but it doesn’t sound as good as the G or C63 because of particulate filters for emissions 🙄

@@philgreen736 yes the new regulations are really unfortunate, had the filters been removed it would sound a lot better, but smaller engines and more efficient engines also contribute to the sound

Kinda hoping to see a photo shoot with all the Mercs before the Pro gets shipped out.. Also hoping that you can manage to get all 6 Black Series cars into the collection at the same time… Honestly makes me wonder who, if anyone has all of them…

Seeing the 3 together, I'd say the C63 needs to be re chromed on the grille.

I agree. I believe Tim mentioned he is considering it and I think seeing the cars together will likely convince him to return the emblem/grill to chrome.
The perfect addition to the collection now would be a SL65 Black Series, it would also fill the V12 void in the garage

a quick tip if you look at the fuel pump icon on the fuel gauge there's a little arrow which points toward the side of the fuel cap

That's a great tip! Tim is in the SLS at 12:36 and you can see him use your suggestion! Obviously he's not in the C63 at that moment so he can only hope the other driver reads this for future reference 👌

If you're such a Black Series lover, which I'm too, you should own all models of them. That includes also the SLK Black, CLK Black and specially SL Black! Please add them all to the Shmuseum!
