I was fortunate to have seen Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee several times in Toronto, in the 60's and 70's.

Otis spann is thee best man with hands in any ebony and ivory instrument, person, experience,or real life expression any human being can ever experience until the Man comes around to set us all straight! God bless Otis spann!

I did the editing on that show with CBC, blending old and new similar to Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole videos.
Great footage, especially Otis Spann is superb!
I’m an intense Blues player. Not until 5 years ago was I able to appreciate them until I went to a Blues jam with stipulations on the 1, 4 and 5. Now i’m hooked
great research on the blues :)
I remember seeing Muddy's band in Chicago with Sam Lawhorne on second guitar and Otis on piano. Cotton came by, sat in, and about blew the roof off. I'd never heard Otis sing until that night and when he opened his mouth I nearly fell off my chair. Lord, love a duck! what voice.
I've had this on VHS tape for years. Could Otis be any more jacked up on "Ain't Nobody's Biz..."? Thanks for the great post!

Looks like you didn't watch the entire video. Colin was the narrator, which was good enough, but later on, he played along with Willie D. Don't ask me how they did it, but it was great. Go watch the video again, this time 'till the end.

It was editing trickery and I did that show back in 1996 at CBC. We got Colin and intertwined him with the greats.
