Pete wasn't an actor, he was the character, one of the best ever. Brassed off was my favourite.

That White Falcon Sylvain Sylvain is playing was later owned by Joe Strummer and Steve Jones. Jones then sold it to Phil Lynott. It's currently in the Thin Lizzy exhibit in the Irish Rock & Roll Museum in Dublin.

I can't get enough of the Dolls. I was a kid in the 70s and only heard of them through the years but they came up on my feed and now for the past week I have been binge watching all their videos or whatever I can find of them online. I didn't realize how good they really were.

There is something completely missing from the narrative of the 1970s part and that is World Series Cricket because Tony Greig went to Bridgetown during the 4th Test March between West indies and Pakistan in April 1977 and got many players from both sides to sign up, and eventually so many West Indies players signed up that they became WSC West Indies, and due to that Australian Dennis Waight was signed up to be fitness coach foir WSC West Indies, and eventually became fitness coach of the West Indies offical team from 1979 onwards, and more than likely at the insistence of Clive Lloyd. Also Michael Holding does relates the story about realising it was serious when he saw his bank book with a comma against it when suddenly they realised that World Series Cricket/Kerry Packer was serious and they could finally become Full-Time Professioinals. Desmond Haynes didn't retire in 1991 from Test Cricket when Greenidge, Richards, Dujon and Marshall retired, but carried on playing for West Indies until 1994, with his Last Test being when Alec Stewatr scored a century in both innings at Bridgetown in April 1994.

Remember seeing this as a kid aged about 9 - l love the premise - that every one of the key characters has to pay a price - either money, morals, soul, social standing - very clever
