I think a minor thing is that Cole had a Karma event when he was being goaded to join Alex. Since he didn’t join Alex, he gained good Karma and therefore enough Karma to Karma overload.

I also love how 2010s [inHuman] sounded. Like a fresh blend of Eminem, Linkin Park, and Skillet. That, and the dynamic felt like Spider-Man and Green Goblin's in the Maguire films. This episode is nostalgia incarnate, and I haven't even played either of the games.

This is probably tied with BillCord as my favourite of the season so far. I love the inFamous Series and the Prototype Series so much.

I just like how well the fighters used the environment. From the big moments like Alex chucking helicopters to smaller moments like Cole trying to throw Alex off the building. It really sells that these are two intelligent fighters taking advantage of the space in which they are fighting.

We voted for this, and we got two banger episodes. DB team just keeps giving great episodes.

One general thing I liked about the fight was how they sold the humanity of Cole against the inhumanity of Alex. There were obvious ways they did it, like Alex eating people and the "don't know the half of it moment", but little things with their design and placements in the setting. Alex never has his face revealed in full, always either having his hood up, or completely covering his body with the evolved armour, eliminating all traces of humanity except for the humanoid shape of his form. Cole, meanwhile typically always remains fully illuminated, his facial features and emotional expressions almost never covered up, the only notable exception being when Alex tried to absorb him, to which Cole absolutely rejected. He's human to his core, and fights with all he has a human.

i just have to point this out since the underestimating for Prototype's overall scaling is just absurd... it's crazy how many ppl just don't know that Prototype also has light-speed scaling feats with more powerful characters especially Alex Mercer himself... ill go to the basics, Alex is able to create infra-red gas that caused video interferences, the same way as James Heller is able to create a infra-red pulse when destroying an underground lab and if you know anything about infrared radiation then you'll know that it travels at the speed of light but this is from P2 though although you can make similar cases with Elizabeth Greenes pulse attacks as well as the supreme hunters devastaters... and im pretty sure the evolved are able to emit the same exact thing especially with Roland who sends out light streak mirages with his movement speed and tendrils glowing... Now if you really want go absolutely absurd then in the game, you realise that Mercers transformations with his powers can shift how the sky looks as well as moving the clouds and even makes the sun move because of the rotation of the earth and the reason for this is because of how much the characters are able to levitate and make a whole city shake based on critical mass that emits devastaters in which where the infra-red glows come from each powerful characters like Elizabeth Greene, the Evolved, Mercer and Heller... do note that the infrared glows come from critical mass, biomass expulsion technology and other viral elements like how Elizabeth Greene and Mercer can communicate in the Hive-Mind like a radio station and both are able to control the Hive-Mind... they actually do communicate like an actual radio station which includes the speed of the proper frequency of a radio... Leader Hunters are also able to communicate which Mercer is able to manipulate for his own benefit, Mercer does emit out detectable energy exploited for Viral Detectors and UAV Radars that have radio frequencies... once again, Mercer causes interference with video footage and lights from his infra-red gas that he makes himself, Mercer also produces heat from consuming and absorbing orbs and turning them into biomass. Mercers Evolved change the colour of the Blackwatch LED masks and radio transceivers to red or making a ring of radiation (or slash), the obvious glow nearly every Infected has made, and Heller's 2 Mass Bars Devastator (an explosion of radiation with tendrils), Hellers resilient DNA in which Mercer's hand got burned which is a huge plot convenience for Heller but it speaks to Hellers HAX or whatever considering how Mercer and other powerful characters all have infra-red speed as well as the heat that comes from it... Heller also has an ability that decreases Viral Detector/UAV Radar sensitivity... forgot to mention this but Alex Mercer and any other Infected has the advantage in military infiltration, constantly receiving comms from the military and Blackwatch through channels. This helps them to plan, deceive and control them in the midst of Gentek scientists and Blackwatch soldiers; and could help in stealth combat. but back to the rotation of the Earth thing... the reason why it works is because of how all the powerful characters in Prototype have telekinesis in which helps them levitate concrete and to more absurd feats where Alex is shown to actually shake everything by just sending out the infrared gas... its like how there are certain stages that these characters have with their critical mass like how Elizabeth Greene is able to do her devastater and use telekinesis to levitate the ground as well as shaking New York as well as changing the skies and it explains how Mercer is able to do this... Heller just shows the Telekinesis aspect more since when Heller enters an evolve state, the ground levitates around him and Heller is using telekinesis by moving still and there's even a shockwave even though Heller doesn't apply any kinetic force, Heller can also do this by transforming into his powers when he 1st gets then since you can't manually transform into other powers and apply a unique animation like how P1 did it... but to top it off, to actually FURTHER claim this... at the end of P2, when Heller consumes Mercer, all of the biomass that he consumed from Mercer had Heller be able to shake the whole of New York by the sheer speed that it was going as well as sending a shockwave that changed the atmosphere of the Earth... all of the things that include defying gravity by all powerful characters in Prototype can be summarised as them using telekinesis when gliding as well as shifting their biomass to glide.

I've never played either of the two series (This death battle was actually my first exposure to Prototype), which also means my interpretation isn't going to be the most thought out or nuanced. Going on about how Cole was building good karma throughout the fight, one thing I would’ve done is, during the office scene when Alex was transforming into his Evolved form and charging towards Cole, have a few office workers to the side of Cole. That way, it would’ve had Cole prioritizing saving civilian lives and gently pushing them away from a rampaging Alex to get them to safety while taking the brunt of Alex’s attack, something good Cole has done a bunch in his mainline games. I understand it might’ve taken more time and that animators have a LOT on their plate, but that’s the only semi-improvement I have for this amazing fight. Also, it’s kinda odd how Cole just stands there for Alex to charge into him. Him prioritizing the lives of others over his own would’ve definitely made that scene more interesting than it already was, and give Alex’s little “join me!” speech and Cole’s response to it more oomph later on. And thank you both for getting this fight the push it needed to get noticed! I mean this from the bottom of my heart, Cole is one of my absolute favorite video game protagonists of all time, and whithout you twos’ influence, I’m not sure we ever would’ve had this amazing fight and spotlight for two phenomenal games that deserve more love and recognition than they ever got! Speaking as someone who hasn't experienced the stories of Infamour or Prototype (yet), but who I believe understands tge basoc ideas of those characters well enough from what I saw in the episode and from what people say about them, I have an additional point of critisism for the office scene and your idea of how to fix that scene I feel could also be used in another scene as well. First, the office scene. What I feel the scene was going was for a slower-paced tense scene and Alex getting a horror movie monster moment. I'm not really into horror, but I like it when other genres give their own take on the horror concept and judging by his analysis and the way the fight setup was shot, this scene felt right at home for Alex. All in all, cool idea that I was behind. And then the idea gets execued and the execution sure was something. Cole enters theoffice where he threw Alex with his energy grapple in a shot that feels straight out of Infamous and we get a couple of seconds of atmospere being built and Cole cautiously looking around him. So far so good. Then Cole INSTANTLY sees Alex and INSTANTLY attacks him with a SLOW-MOVING ice attack which INSTANTLY makes Cole and the scene's pacing go splat. Then, a piece of Alex slides away from the camera and you'd think that this would lead to Alex regenerating while being hidden from Cole's POV and then ambush attack him, but what happens seems to follow but also not follow that idea at the same time and it's just confusing. Alex just regenerates like 1 metre from where he was teared apart...in front of bright light...in front and center of Cole POV. And I guess Cole didn't want to make Alex feel too bad for his stupidity and allowed himself to be thrown out of the window just so Alex wouldn't look like tge boggest dumbass in the office. Either that or Akex's stupidity is just contagious. Also, the scebe itself just drags even more the akready murdered pacing of the sequence and the transition from the slowly rising Alex to the charging Alex feels pretty random. It also feels very weird that we get no ckear establishing shots of Alex's monster form neither in the office sequence nor in the following scene where he chases Cole on the rooftop until the helicopters show up. In fact, we don't get a clear shot of Alex's monster form up until the climax and even then it's a quick model switch. It does fit with the fast-paced energetic nature of the climax (and considering that as mentioned in the video, animating Alex must have bern a pain in the ass and that I'm pretty confident that Alex is not a character "infamous" for highly-animated transformation sequences, I am willing to accept it) but it's weird that this is the first time we get a good look at Alex's monster form. There is also the weird feeling that you could just cut out the whole part where Cole uses his ice attack and just have Cole enter the office and after a while Alex ambushes him out of tge office where his monster form gets revealed and nothing would change (and dare I say the sequence would be much better). I feel that the most positive impact this scene had in the entirety of the fight is the idea that because of that Cole realised how Alex's regeneration works and thus destroyed the last remains of him in the final scene of the animation (which btw is an opposite paralell to that scene in Alex's rundown where he is shown to have survived by just a single remain of his), but even that is brought down a bit by the fact that Cole only got to realise that because Alex acted like an idiot (unless Alex is someone who would show off his power to someone, in which case, fair enough, but the animation does not present it as such). As for the other scene in which your fix for the office scene works too is the scene where Cole jumps upon the helicopters. Visually, it is a cool sequence that feels straight out of an Infamous boss fight. Writing-wise, Cole gets character assassinated at worst and is an idiot at best. Alex throws 2 helicopters with at least 2 people inside them and 1 truck that may or may not have at least a driver inside it, so Cole, the good guy of the scenario, just let at least 4 people die. Woops. Let's not mention how the truck getting thrown towards Cole feels like a very random visual choice and let's instead focus on the fact that despite bouncing off just fine from the helicopters Cole just decided that ge couldn't do the same thing to the truck and instead unleashed a tornado that I'm pretty sure required a good amount of energy to create and judging by Cole having his back turned I'm assuming that this move also requires him to stop to regain his balance, so Cole I guess just decided to use an unnecessarily powerful and energy-draining ability of his that would slow him down just to take out an obstacle that he could eaaily just bounce away off and that is what gets Alex to pin him to the ground. What a pity, because the idea of Cole spending that entire sequence rescuing the people inside the vehicles, which would be an actually cool and creative usage of the tornado instead of a stupid and generic one and it would be a more natural way to bring the "join me" exchange. In fact, I'd argue that that exchange would benefit a lot by Cole rescuing people throughout the fight, since it would be a legitimate response to what Cole just did and Cole would use the good carma he gathered while saving people to release himself, resulting in Alex's rageful transformation being a result of Cole not just rejecting his proposal but actively fighting against the ideology he developed after what happened to him in his source material. Unfortunately, what we get instead is Cole getting in a disadvantage because of stupidity and getting out of it because of convinience, a.k.a. Cole just happening to be slammed down on the biggest energy source in the area! Also, it just came to me, but could you imagine how cool it would if the people Cole saved (voiced by Liam and Swan, because off course they are) were shown cheering him on during the fight's climax? Considering how much the analysis segments loved rederences to Raimi's Spiderman, you could even have one of them say "Go get 'im, tiger!". That would be awesome. Update: Somehow I completely forgot that we were given a very very clear look at Alex's monster form during the office, so my bad. The rest of my points about the scene do stand tho (including Cole's ice attack having an inconsistent effect on Alex when compared to before). Also, something I forgot to mention was that Cole did actually use his good carma to release himself when Alex tried absorbing him and you could argue that this one is just as good if not better than the idea I presented, since it does feel right for the good carma to be what ultimately gave Cole the win in the fight (feel free to argue if either my or the episode's idea of the good carma usage is better and if you think that Cole needed some kind of line when he unleashed the good carma that would thematocally link to it or if that would be too cheesy). I still feel that the "join me" exchange would have some more oomph to it if Cole used the good carma then, but keeping the good carma as Cole's final ace in the hole at the very end of the fight as his winning trump card just feels right.

i absolutely hate the fact that Sucker Punch had to make the good ending of inFAMOUS 2 to be canon be8it isn't written well and it's just a typical heroic sacrifice that acts like a noble thing all for thr sake of 'humanity' even though it literally showed innocent ppl dying because not all knew they had powers to begin with... and now the 3rd and it's basically how the community acts like all of coles inFAMOUS games had him be good throughout the whole games when Sucker Punch never stated that any paths were canon and JUST THE ENDINGS... its funny because canonicaly, from the 1st game, Cole does more bad things than good things based from the comics elsewell and its why the original ending was supposed to be the evil one because Cole from the 1st games comics was about to kill someone who just called him 'bald'

So happy that Hyper really loved this episode :) it was amazing to watch the ep in person with him

A matchup 10 years in the making! I enjoyed it, but the analysis did brought it down for me. It feels like they are only doing this out of obligation and less enthusiasm than their other ballot winner, I doubt that was their intention, but that's how it feels like to me. The fight was epic though, highlights include the neck twister, "you don't know the half of it!", and the whole climax and ending, plus I love the music. Overall, a good episode that needed the analysis to cook a little more in the oven

Hearing my commissioned track as the background music caught me off guard. Nice. It fits the MU discussion pretty well. Glad I wasn't the only one who was a bit disappointed with the analysis.

Nem's dedication to the breakdowns of these episodes is what makes me enjoy it a good cut above other reviewers. 2:26 is a textbook example.

Was awesome seeing the hype built up for this episode across the year (even got me to play through the Infamous and Prototype games) and seeing it pay off incredibly well. Went from a matchup I understood to one I adored thanks to it introducing me to both and talking with friends about it.

DO NOT LET YOUR OPINION ON WHO WON EFFECT YOUR ENJOYMENT One of my favourite death battles ever made the analysis for cole was actually really funny and as a sonic fan the shdow joke caught me of guard then theres alexs analysis which was done beautifully i can not believe how well they fit two games in there and i love how they compared it with spidermans with great power comes great responsibility i just really loved it then THE FIGHT also lets end this debate hit hard i absolutely loved it ok so let me just say THE WORLD WAS REBUILD PERFECTLY i have no problems this is the best arena theyve probably ever made for anyfight i love the opening of them just joking around then my favourite shot happens cole grinding on alexs tenticale attack was the coolest shi ive seen in a while the vas also did a great job both just hit them chills the animations phenomenal just amazing like yeah theres some jank but there will always be so i have no problems with them the effects were just perfectly done for both and i really like the ending it actually kind of got me also the fact theres 3 arenas they fight in really makes it not feel stationary just absolutely loved this one 10/10 HOW DID I FORGET THE SONGS AMAZING also R U B B L E

I loved this episode! I am also happy that you gave us a number for the review again. I know its an arbitrary thing that doesnt really convey how much you like it as well as the entire reviews, but I have a few reasons I personally like it: 1. Comfort edition 2. It does give a baseline on how much you enjoy the episodes and or what quality you think it an episode is. I think the best way to describe it is like showing stats for a character. To the casual audience Id say that 5.6 megatons compared to 3 megatons doesnt really tell them much compared to telling someone is island level or country level and _ times stronger. The point is the generalisations make it easier to see your opinion. 3. It makes me wanna watch and guess what type of number youd give for the episode so I essentially have a guessing game that I find fun. I do get why the number rankings arent really a thing anymore due to the misuse of them and other factors id assume, but I liked them and they are the reason I usually rewatch older reviews of episodes. Have a nice day lads.

Anyways, yeah, I'll admit, as a Death Battle fan that didn't actually start at Season 2, the analysis was mixed for me, and yeah not everyone will get into it, but that aside, you perfectly summarized how I feel about the fight, it was fascinating. It felt like actually seeing a boss fight happening in a crossover, and it's such a unique feeling for a Death Battle, and you two truly captured how it feels to expirience this fight. Great job Nem, great job Hyper (you pushed far for this one, and it has certainly delivered, and glad to hear you enjoy it that much and how much it means to you, and most likely many others), see ya next time! Personally while animation does make literally the most of it and all what you can, i also wish they would add some other things to already existing scenes... 1. Cole using his radar, see Alex disguising as civ and Cole attacking with ice anyway because he sensed it's Alex. 2. While Alex had his regeneration scene,i feel like you could have Cole take a quick recharge in a place that has reasonable electric stuff for him to absorb, like literally, it's office building, shit is everywhere. 3. I wish analysis included Zeke. They gone excellently with Alex's stuff on human interactions but if they included Zeke then it would really showcase just how different they are. Alex was betrayed by his close people. So was Cole. But ultimately being a good person and Zeke being great bro, they managed to have a new go at their bromance. And screen scene with Cole and Zeke getting drunk would be perfect inclusion. Humanise Cole while they antagonised Alex. 4. The "It's time for a death battle!" didn't had pictures of them in woman lingerie, episode is -1000/10. 5. They made such remarks about force field shield that it's kinda weird Cole didn't used it. Have Cole throw one in office while Alex was running at him, have shit flying at Alex from all of the office and then Alex suddenly for Cole overpowers all of the rubble AND ONLY THEN throws him out of the building because it's clear Cole got advantage in there with all electricity and shit flying at him otherwise the scene is kinda hilarious with them talking and Alex just running at Cole at reasonable speed and Cole doing fucking nothing lmao. And final one that not necessarily needed because this matchup on the cipher clearly represents recycle but if they didn't and have gone for it then i wish the ending was black and white slowmo with Cole's choice between good and evil. Yes i know it would take away from the animation. Yes it's hard to even realize. But the set up with Alex asking Cole to join him AND making him a perfect parallel to Beast was right there, Alex is goat for that frfr. This scene alone would be enough to place this matchup into scales. Good to evil decision is what defined narrative of Prototype and choices between good and evil are basically one of Infamous' trademarks. Of course I also wanted Good choice being a self sacrifice reminiscing of Infamous 2 ending but what we got for ending was kinda better than my ideas with Ionic storm or Ray Sphere (if Alex won so it can have logical conclusion that Alex no conduit). Anyway that's just my thoughts sorry for rambling. Also there's a scene where Alex stabs wall and it leaves literally no damage, confirming to viewers that Alex is below wall level and scene in office ends with Note to all ideas I have about episode: Yes I'm fully aware they wouldn't have the time to animate it, I just wish stuff that could have something more in it would have it.

I was a big fan of this matchup back when I played the Infamous games. I never thought I’d see this matchup but the fans defied fate. And to top it all off, the episode released on my birthday! (with my preferred character winning so that was a cherry on top)

I agree so much on wanting Infamous 1 & 2 on the Sony store so much. Only consolation is for now it’s on the PS+ catalog. Also I love the animation. Not a fan of the analysis. But the Animation is absolutely great. And yeah it’s a episode I’d likely put over others just due to to personal connection myself. This was a pretty good video overall.

10:23 that's actually something you can do in inFamous 2! Although it ends with a Slam on the ground, the throw might, and it's a big Might, be a reference to Playstation All Stars, where that move is actually used as his Side Throw

I really hated the past season lambasting as it comes off as "We're way funnier now" when no...they're really not. They can be just as cringe if not worse than back then at times.

Honestly, I am quite happy about the episode, I found it extremely good and nostalgic as I played both Infamous heavily and I really wanted to yet, didn't get either Prototype games. The fight was extremely good in my book, one of the best for the 3D fights, with my only real complaints is that the office scene where Alex charges at Cole and Cole is just standing there felt a bit awkward and I wished we got a brief moment where Alex tries to disguise himself and Cole immediately finds him as they mention his Radar Pulse yet, didn't use it.

​@@jamesdoe4842Cole couldn't know and it ultimately not mattering isn't an issue, since what we could have gotten is an interraction with that ability with Cole using it and seeing how Alex reacts to it or counters it.

This was a awesome episode. And as for Frieza vs. Megatron while I'm not excited for it I'll just watch it just to see how bad they wank or nerf both characters, along with how much they get wrong lore wise.

So, I've played prototype 2, and after looking into this matchup i wanted it sooo bad. and while watching, i went from wanting Alex to win, to wanting cole. It felt like a hero VS villain fight, but in a way that felt so cathartic, similar yo (but not as good as) TJ vs Balrog. Honestly, its great. Now i need Senator Armstrong VS Saxton Hale and my video game deathbattles will be complete.

This is my 2nd favourite death battle episode this season, and one of THE best in the show. InFamous Second Son is my favorite work of art i have ever experienced, i hold the utmost respect for the franchise and know that the first InFamous game is also amazing. This was so good for me and I actually cheered when Cole won.

Now I just have to wait another ten years for Duke Nukem vs Serious Sam to become a champion ballot thing. We will likely have seen Mental before that happens. Another bucket list episode has been scratched. I guess I need to replace it with something else to anticipate. It could be thing I want to commission if it actually had any chance of happening. And if I actually got the damn commission made in the first place. Oh well. Back to playing broken CS2 with random map invasions and waiting for Scream Fortress to happen.

I'm just glad it happened I've played the inFamous Demo countless hours spamming the Giga Watt Blades, but I will say the Death Battle felt more like let's get this out of the way which is not a bad thing but the vide they gave of even when they announced it in Death Battle Cast felt uninterested.

Only thing missing from the fight is the "fight" graphic from early death battles.

This is the one episode that I have been waiting for and popped off at the announcement for, but I sadly didn't care a whole lot for it. Mostly on the analysis side of things. The constant "This script was pulled from the trash" to me felt like the crew hated the characters or MU idea and resented the idea of making it, and resented the fans that wanted it. The Shadow the Hedgehog and Spider-man references were painfully unfunny. The cutaway gags completely pulled me out of the fight. Even the fun callbacks to early seasons didn't help much when they didn't even add a "fight" to the opening moments of the fight. But the fight was a ton of fun having them both use their powers and abilities outside of just attacking the other (Alex's air dash and Cole's lightning tether amoung others) felt strangely refreshing.

Yeah honestly I'm not sure how frieza vs megatron will go. Depending on what source there using for megatron either be the cartoon or so on. I feel like friezas just gonna curve stomp the match.

It would have been cool if, at some point of the battle, possibly near the end, they would used the Infamous comic style. For like a frame or 2, maybe 3 haha

If i had to say which episode i preferred it's probably the Discord vs Bill Cipher episode. Maybe it's cause of my bias towards 2D animation but for me the story telling in that episode was better. While i admit i don't know much about either Infamous or Prototype i can say that the most part it feels like they handled the episode very well. Cole vs Alex is probably my favorite 3D fight from the more recent seasons. I'd probably give it a 8.5-9/10.

So about freeza vs megatr-

Small nitpick with the review, Hyper sounds kinda low compared to everything else and (maybe this one's me) there are a couple of instances where you two mention how you liked the same things at different times of the video. Just mentioning it in case you decide to continue bringing guests to these reviews. Glad you enjoyed the episode.

What makes this episode so special was this was a Death Battle "For Fans" Episode, this literally had to be voted to become an episode. Everyone had the chance to vote for something else, yet they all chose this episode.

This is the closest an episode has gotten to being my favorite since Godzilla vs Gamera .

This episode was at a standstill for me, what I mean by that is, the only reason I would rank it on the high end is because of the fight, absolutely beautifully done and boy oh boy was I on the edge of my seat with my heart leaping into my throat. But man was the analysis boring, it tried really hard to be funny (especially with the old script joke) and it didn't work. I usually find the analysis' humorous for others at times, but that... That ain't it chief. Now I also have a bit of bias with this one because I fucking love [PROTOTYPE], both games were made by Radical Entertainment, who also made the best super hero game ever (Hulk Ultimate Destruction). Never played inFAMOUS though, I was able to get a ROM of it and played the first one to competition just the day before the episode came out. It was a bit annoying at times, but it was a solid game with a good story. Overall, this episode is a 7/10 for me

You know what death battle idea I haven't seen being tossed around? Po Ping from the Kung Fu Panda franchise vs Monkey D. Luffy from the One Piece franchise. Especially with a 4th KFP movie coming soon and OP going strong.

I disagree with the overall outcome of the fight myself, they severely lowballed the difference between Alex’s overall endurance and speed for Cole, without lightning tether Cole is stuck slowly climbing up 2 maybe 3 story buildings and taking cover from small-arms fire while Alex is casually sprinting up New York skyscrapers and eating direct shots by tanks, helicopters, and rockets for breakfast. But even if I disagree with the outcome, I find myself not caring because the fight and interactions were just that good, and Coles closing statement to Alex was the perfect mix of edgy quip and genuine hope.

For me it’s a 8 out of 10 as it’s got a good animation but there’s better episodes for me this season. I hope you’re doing well Nem.

This was a very AMAZING fight in terms of story and animation and hit all the beats I'd have wanted, BUT I still think BillCord has it beat just ok the sheer insanity of all that happened in that episode. I mean, it had sock puppets and claymation for crying out loud lol.

This finally opens the door to Corvo vs Booker. We gotta get that early 2010s game rep in DB🔥

Sorry but I can't really agree with the complaint that Chosenborn should have had more destruction and rubble just because the characters are stronger than Cole and Alex. I don't play either game but I know that neither of them are depicted as destructive in game (Wiz brings that up in the post-analysis). Plus most of the fight is sword combat where it wouldn't make sense for them to be constantly flinging up debris. The colosseum blowing up was more than enough. Other than that, good review.

Maybe I missed something, but I'm not sure how Cole is able to keep up with Alex's healing ability. I thought Alex would win because Cole didn't have a way to outlive him.

It’s funny because as much as everyone likes Cole and wanted him to win way more, I feel like Alex shines way more here. Even if I don’t agree with most of the scaling and the bare bones explanation of the resistance to Blacklight (simply surviving an attack on the atomic level doesn’t make you resistant to everything that isn’t atomic) I still enjoyed the battle at least. But the analysis and conclusion definitely won’t get the score above a 7/10 for me. Still great. hope we get a new Prototype one day. I really want them to just reboot the series but instead of just completing undoing everything, I would like it if they decided to go a alternate path if the virus decided to retain its humanity and be a real hero. Maybe you could even reference evil Alex by having a portion of Alex’s virus mind set on take over and you yourself become the main villain. It would be a cool way to keep that twist of the first game fresh and keep Alex a morally gray character while giving him that chance to overcome the virus. And maybe by the end, Blacklight would explain how the virus has evolved beyond that of even a super virus. It evolved beyond the virus pushing Alex to consume and infect, and truly evolved into the man he used to be…..a man with tendril virus powers but you understand where I’m going. Also I would want them to really push the boundaries of what a virus can actually do. I would think it’s cool if the virus evolved so much that it went beyond biology and started adapting to nature and could give Alex cool ways to interact with the environment that isn’t just picking up a car. I feel like this would also lighten the tone of the game just slightly. Not only do I think this would attract a wider audience to the game, but also a lighter tone could make the superhero story fit more. Because I feel like Prototype could really thrive by truly engaging in that cross between superhero stories and apocalyptic horror.
