It's surreal seeing this song performed at such a big concert, with relatively little audience interaction. Coldplay, still somewhat new to the spotlight, singing newly released songs, that no one probably realized would one day be as big as they are now.

Doesn't this sound awesome though? Any live recording you watch from more recent concerts has the entire audience drowning Chris out whereas here he actually sings all the lines (bar the last couple as he talks his 'goodbyes').

@@sct352t3 Now as he's older, I've seen him just let the crowd sing a majority of the lyrics to let his voice rest. Nothing wrong with that of course, personally, I feel like the band has always been about atmosphere and spectacle over vocal chops.

Coldplay's debut album Parachutes was released 2000-2001. A Rush of Blood to the Head (including Fix You) was released 2002-2004. This concert was in 2005. Coldplay was already huge. There was audience interaction, but hard to see at this distance.

When you get what you want but not what you need. Singularly the best line ever!

Actually "Fix You" was already released on 6 June 2005 with the release of the "X&Y" album. However there could have still been people in the audience, who didn't own the album at that time.

This is a bad performance. Drops of tone, out of tune and miss the final part of the song. Listen to the Keane same concert Bedshaped... Tom Chaplin show us how well sing...

I started to cry, missing that large crowds can be together and without any feeling of animosity, but rather with a feeling of wanting to help people globally. I can only hope at this point that we will have that kind of large group togetherness again.

This explains the look on Chris’s face in the Head full of dreams documentary during the fix you scene. I think he wrote this song for the crowd to sing the final verse… he seems so disappointed here when the didn’t. In the film, when the crowd do actually sing, he has this look of surprise and joy, it’s really cool.

Because in 2005 almost nobody knew the song well. For me personally this is a good live version but not the best, I‘d say performance-wise Toronto 2006 and CapitalFM Jingle Bell Ball 2015, regarding crowd (by far!) Glastonbury 2016.
