Hi Curtis, indeed you can be very proud of your land, because the best bands, the best artists and ,in fact, the best music come from England, there's no doubt about it! I discovered music for about 50 years, all genres, and music from the uk is the greatest, especially for me as a Rock and Heavy-Hardrock fan. Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen, Pink Floyd, The Cult, The Mission and I could go on and on and on! As I said, England has the best to offer in other genres as well not just in Rock Music, that has always been the case and will always remain so. Thank u England for all the great sound! @@jonathancarter6831 No they didn't. They got songwriting credits because of the violin melody in the song coming from one of theirs, and for a while got royalties for it. That was until a few years ago when they signed over the full rights and royalties back to Richard Ashcroft. Richard Ashcroft wrote the song. He wrote the lyrics. Jagger/Richards are only credited for one part of the music.

In fact, the stones had nothing to do with it. There was some orchestra that covered some of their music, and the verve were accused of ripping elements from one of the orchestral stones covers, which sounded really different from the originals. It was the stones label or some managerial dude who was greedy and wanted money who accused the verve of plagiarism.
@DeanPuckering
3 жыл бұрын
@@jonathancarter6831 It isnt identical at all, I've literally just heard it. That still doesn't take away from the fact that the lyrics were written by Richard Ashcroft. The Stones song in itself was sampled from the orchestra so wasn't even their composition to begin with. THOUSANDS of songs have been sampled over the years.

music will never be the same as this video right here . Real singer no auto tune real band . Not saying there’s no bands left but in today’s age bands ect don’t get the opportunity to get to the next stage because this generation is more into auto tune rubbish so bands out there now have basically no hope of getting there stuff on the radio . Because all radio stations wanna play is shit auto tune crap . And that’s coming from me as a guitarist . It’s sad and hopefully people wake up to real music
You can just hear the sweet sorrow in this song. The lyrics are so true My mom almost died right after this performance. But eighteen years later she's still here, thanks be to God. Life is a bitter sweet symphony
The message of the lyrics is as impactful as that of the music. The contrast of the violins with the somewhat sad song is impressive. I think it reminds us that the human being brings within himself an aspiration towards spiritual transcendence towards the supreme good, but due to the limitations of his material needs, he ends up not achieving what he longs for and comforts himself by accepting himself,,,

Sonnet, Bitter Sweet Symphony and C'mon people my three favorites of Richard Ashcroft. Still can't understand why this guys wasn't as famous as Coldplay!
Me encanta la humildad que maneja Coldplay, siempre que invitan artistas al escenario, ellos se convierten en su banda y los invitados en el show central, eso es un verdadero reconocimiento.
