Sorry it’s been 34 years since I sat A level chemistry, it is of course sodium hydroxide that makes soap from fats, apologies)
I was really impressed at how quickly this product worked.  It seems to have provided quite a even coating too, no bad at all, particular as this was only sold as a touchup pot!
Anything that help keeps the rest off has got to be a good idea. 👍
(Even if I end up, polishing the bits back up, it was a great experiment to try out…)
