Cognizant Strict WARNING! Come to office or get FIRED!

Cognizant's move aligns with broader trends in the IT industry, where companies are increasingly enforcing return-to-office policies. For instance, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has linked office attendance to performance bonuses, with employees working less than three days a week in the office not receiving performance bonuses. HCL Technologies, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra also mandated a three-day office work week in November 2023, while Infosys requires its employees to work from the office at least 10 days a month.
Cognizant has been tracking the attendance of employees, particularly those on the bench (those not currently assigned to a project), and sharing this information with top executives. Until recently, the company did not have a standardised return-to-office policy, allowing project teams to set their own schedules.

    There are companies allowing work from home but tend to be small or medium level companies, but pay can still be good for an experienced person. Start quitting companies forcing you to come to the office and threatening to terminate you if not. Big companies having stupid policies will lose the game.

    I'm working in cognizant, reality is MNC company's giving on an average 1 project call to freshers but they are ignoring & denying by taking advantage of weak bench policy of MNCs. that's why % of bench employees still high in MNC . So, All MNC should fire all those freshers who are in underperformance & on bench for more than 6 months.

    Hi, I have joined tcs in last year May (joined project straight away) and completed one year by this year. i didn't got any hike when i asked this with my colleagues they are saying I will be given next year April is this true? At that time I will only get 1 hike?so I have to work two years with 0 hike?

    Won’t work that way as then people will login from vacation locations violating Client SLAs or do Moonlighting. Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be good for both companies and employees
