He’s the guy who should stay PG in the new era. Seems like we have moved towards a TV-14 product. But while he caught our attention as the Dr. of Thugonomics, he won our hearts as Mr. Hustle Loyalty & Respect. Let him retire how he should, as the guy who children look at as the superhero, the guy who always salutes the soldiers, the guy who always does community outreach. He’s a class act through & through. He’s the best career that I’ve watched from start to finish. Amazing guy, amazing heart.

Honestly I feel like if he comes back it'll finally be as a heel. They already had planned it, and he's lost how many matches now with his HLR gimmick? Perhaps in kayfabe he feels the need to change to win.

Well he wasn't really what you'd call "PG". Idk what you're trying to refer to. John was never really that much of a kids baby face. He goes hard in some of his promos with mature themes, he always has. Just cause he works with kids and they look up to him dosent make his character pg. Plus the pg Era didn't begin until 2008 and cena had been this character since 2005.

John Cena was my childhood hero. Him talking about hanging it up really soon hurts my heart but Im happy to have grown up watching this legend in the ring. His farewell tour will be bitter sweet and hopefully they come up with a story to satisfyingly end his career. THANK YEWW JOHN 🙏🙏🔥🔥

Cena was never a heel. He just always won back when and fans hated it. But he stuck it out and won over everybody. I think his US Open Challenge Run was what did it.

i grew up during the end of the attitude era and the start of the ruthless aggression era, john was that guy that made smackdown along with many superstars on that roster a must see every week. then when he got drafted to RAW, he just skyrocketed into the GOATED skies. all those years of watching him wrestle and not once did i ever think it would end but now...every second i hear those trumpets blaring and cena running down the ramp. i'm grateful for every single second he slides in to those sneakers and jean shorts, i almost shed a few tears when he came to cody's rescue. i'll be here waiting for cena's last ride and hopefully #17 before he hangs up the jean shorts. forever apart of the chain gang........ 🖐🏼🚫

As someone who used to chime in live with the opposing response to the "let's go Cena" chants from the kids, I have come full circle on this man. Peacemaker is so funny as a show/character & John comes off as a very self aware human who is trying to make himself and the world a better place. Much respect to him for real. So if Cena wants one more run, he looks like he can still go so he should go. But not in a flimsy title battle feud. Make it matter. Write a good story, make us care and make us feel.

That is a fact. So winning one more if world titles is your benchmark, wouldn't make him better than flair or technically have more titles. Why do Cena fans get so defensive... As if the idea of being the goat isn't a matter of opinion.. You say flair not better but alot these older guys made the industry what it is today.. They wrestled more, their merch sales are equal in today's economy, they carried companies, sometimes multiple in a career.. This why guys like Cena, rock, Austin and others pay tribute to these guys. The cycle will go on, and wrestlers will do the same to Cena, the Rock and Austin.. But it always it's easier for the generation.. Marketing changes.. social media .. accessibility.. My point is you can't really compare a terry funk ,Rick flair .. with guys in this era.. But if world champions is the mark, yes flair would come out on top.
