There's a third game (Quest for Infinity) on Wii/PS2 that mixes the former title's gameplay with Season 4's story; it doesn't play much better, and the final area has single-digit framerates. It's a shame that the games are so mediocre, because the show itself is pretty good. It's all officially on KZread, even the live-action followup; anyone who's interested in the show should start with the two-part "XANA Awakens" special.

Back then, when I watched that two-parter, I thought I had stumbled upon the series' first episode. Turns out, the first season of the show was... less than stellar.

This video is seriously underrated. I remember how bad I wanted to play the 2nd game on a laggy emulator, just because I loved Code Lyoko so much

Watching that character run around on screen during the last game is stupidly funny for some reason. His shrunken overworld proportions make his head look as big as, if not larger than his actual body.

Yes, but for first 3 seasons it would kill Aelita. And in Season4 Xana escapes and starts building war robots so it wouldn't do anything.

I actually haven't played it! I just wanted to do the strict RPGs, but didn't realise the first game was an action RPG, with a bigger focus on action. This video existing went through many iterations, so it's weird to see it go up at all.

@@Caspicum Yeah Naruto was something I intentionally avoided on TV as well because the adverts made it look really annoying and stupid and got in the way of 90's Spiderman/X-Men reruns. It wasn't until I purposefully watched it in college after seeing cool fan art of Kakashi and stuff. Like, it's pretty great but it's also complete dogshit 80% of the time, as most shonen is. Does make me wonder if I passed up Code Lyoko too early, but the art style and 00's TV CGI make it very unlikely I'll bother to give it a go.

I never really watched it, the school side of it bored me and the 3D stuff wasn't like my favourite animes, so I never gave it a chance. I've heard mixed reviews though, seems people either love it or hate it.
