It's probably faster getting a GooKingSword this way than getting it from Goo Kings even without save states. The chance of getting a guess in one is 1 in 720, and 1 in 2 you'll get a sword (other prize is Spirit Ring), while the chance of getting a good king sword from an encounter in Eden is 1 in 1024. But this is a lot faster than killing Goo Kings, provided you throw in the towel after 1 or 2 guesses. Of course, it does cost lots of zenny

I played this game about three times and killed over a million gookings and never got the sword. Wish I had known about this earlier. Thanks man.

this does not work for me i save state before i play even guessed the right number at the end reloaded the save state only for it to be different numbers

Back then.. I don't, know how many Goo King that i slay.. Just for getting one Booking Sword.. Always drop Green Apple though -_-

I got 2 GooKingSwords no cheats or saving states, on my PSP, fighting GooKings, best place it’s the area after o beaten Teepo you able to battle even 2 GooKings in the same battle 😎🔪

i maxed out the game clock and got to level 99 with ryu, rei and garr getting this sword on my ps2. took forever.

Nice,and this do the trick for Rei's 2nd best weapon(Lifestealer) too.

Would have done this, if I had the tools available. Replaying BoF3 on my PsVita, hunted down Rufad's Spear, DragonFang and just now the GooKing Sword from a GooKing drop. Been at it for about 2 days (not continuously), in the Hall with the elevator that transports you to Eden/where Teepo resides waiting for you. Only enemies that appear there are: - Eye Goo - Goo Titan - Spectre (easy kill by using any elemental-property weapon like Ruby Scepter) - Goo King (comes in ×2/a pair sometimes, don't bother stealing the apple, apply charm with your quickest character +10 speed, and have someone use [Shadow Walk] & [Aura] by Ryu) If you run out of AP, traveling back through the forest chamber, there is that Healing Room/Nursery you walk through. Or if you have the gear Mind Shield, use it as an item and steal any of the monster's AP. Goo King itself restores 200AP if you use this method to replenish your AP back to max.

In the couple of times I got the sword legit, I did it in the hallway leading to Myria. Did it while farming for Mist Armors and the Diana dress. Good place to level up too. Got Ryu, Rei and Momo to 99 before the damn sword dropped lol.

@@prier sweet, that's where the majority of the FAQs recommend the farming. I was just dead-set on fighting Teepo/DragonLord with the GooKing Sword. I almost 1-hit k.o. him before with Aura + Focus×2 + Infinity-Radiance-Trance dragon gene form. (The order was the reverse of what I wrote). Wanted to see if that made a difference. Had Royal Sword (Dessert/Manillo) at the time and you can steal the Dragon Sword from Dragon Lord. I leveled up everyone to Lv 99 before entering Caer Xhan, when I was farming Beserker & Arch Mage in container yard. I did majority of the level-up with Lava Man at the volcano. I had forgotten Ivory Dice was a thing .... It might have helped. Need to check that after I clear the game. Just ×1 Lava Man gave a total of +65.ooo exp.I dunno what happens if you use Ivory Dice more than once on top of that.

@@andresrob9767 You can also use Nina to drain Goo King's AP using "Drain" and then use the move Transfer to give Ryu the stolen AP from the Goo King. You can also use Snooze on Ryu as well to restore his AP a little.

I actually guessed it once on the first try... got a spirit ring. And then my game crashed :(

I got very lucky when I got mines. I didn't know about this trick so I just battled GooKings, but they were so strong that I didn't battle them much, but I still got it.

I couldn't get a GooKing Sword and I had two Faeries, I added a third one and the middle one is giving me the sword almost every single time.

It's a 1/256 chance to drop (1/128 with charm) so the odds are definitely way against you. I recently got one legit on a new save with the psn rerelease and to give you an idea, I got 3 characters close to level 99 just from grinding before I got one to drop lol.

HOW I MAKE A CASINO

I have actually been able to get the GooKingSword from both faeries.

I've tried this and actually it's still quite rare to get a GKS. In fact, I have yet to get it even after trying about 100 times. And yes, I followed this strat perfectly. Seeing this, I tried to get the LifeStealer (from getting the number in 2 guesses) and it the rarity seems just as high. So I think there are different chances for getting each item within each guess category. Even with the power of emulation, GKS is still hard to get!

Nah, just put 3 fairies and ull be fine.. just tried twice and boom, now i got tons of it just to be disposed in shops..

i got gookingsword defeating gooking, after grab green apple...

you dont have to try and guess with an emulator. once the guessing game begins the answer is locked. just keep clicking til she gives you the answer, then restart save, and enter number. wayyyy easier. I get divine helmets, lifestealer, and spirit rings from faerie village

Don't care if this video's 9 years old, but there's nothing impressive about using save states to get the gks on the numbers game. They're save states... they're there to cheat the game for a reason.
