Archmage solo fight.
winning formula:
-Master Hachio (critical hit % up)
-Slicer Knife (critical hit % up)
-Celerity (insane boost for all stats)
-Thunder Ring (autoheals Rei during the battle)
-Influence (explained later)
Rei cannot win this fight solo without extra turns + critical hits because the Archmage has 3000 HP and will regenerate 1500 HP each turn which is similar to the damage amount Rei would normally do in 2 turns without criticals.
thats why Master Hachio,the Slicer Knife and Celerity are a must.
the Archmage starts to revive dead characters,which will ruin the fight,because the Weretiger will stop attacking the enemy and start killing the other party members.this is normally not a problem because the Archmage will simply revive them again,but this also means that the Weretiger will skip one enemy attack and this allows the Archmage to regain his health again to 3000 HP.
so every missed Archmage attack means back to the beginning of the fight against a full 3000 HP Archmage...not good!!
thats why I used Influence with Ryu at the beginning AND kept him alive the entire battle to force the Weretiger to focus on the Archmage only.
to make sure,that Ryu survives long enough,he got a Thunder Ring too.
there is nothing you can do against the Mind Sword spell,but thanks to Celerity,the Weretiger has enough defense to survive this spell,which is by the way NOT a magic based spell.it counts as a physical attack,thats why you see Rei doging this spell in the video.
finally,it is just a matter of time until Rei got enough critical hits to kill the Archmage.
