Those toe taps look elegant! I got into GYW this year and am still learning. I live in Oregon where it rains more days than not and I noticed incredible wear on the first pair of leather soled shoes I got. I've been so tempted to try out the Triumph toe taps but I fear it won't be extending the life of my soles that much due to the climate I live in. PS I love your videos and IG! Your GS reviews have been so helpful. Really appreciate the work! I just purchased a Dune Diesel with rubber sole and am planning on getting the Black Ottawa with rubber sole next!

thank you kind sir!!! depending on how you walk, I think the toe taps could extend the life of your leather soles. the toe is the area that seems to wear down most quickly for me so I think they'll help me out. thanks so much for your feedback, happy I could help steer you in the right direction, the black Ottawa boots are utterly amazing!!!

@@DalesLeatherworks I forgot to mention I opted for the rubber sole protectors vs the toe taps due to my climate. Thank you!

Enjoyed the video, good stuff. I've been considering toe taps on one of my pairs of boots, the toe gets worn down pretty quickly. We'll see. Man, I need a pair of Grant Stone boots one of these days. There's something _sexy_ about them. Hoping they release a shell cordovan boot in the honey glazed color with a cap toe.

thanks my friend!!! yes the toe taps are a little bit more expensive than vibram protective soles but well worth the investment IMO!I'm with ya, I would love it if GS did a honey glazed shell cap toe

What is your favourite boot regardless of price? (I meant sometimes you get persuaded by the look of a boot just because it's expensive, it'll be a bit more appealing to you)

He enjoys his work. Good video. However I disagree with the Vibram half sole issue. I get the same flexibility, bare leather sole or Vibram half sole protector. No difference.

yes I've noticed that the vibram doesn't constrict flexibility on all my shoes, just some of them. for example, my Alfred sergeant monk straps have them and the flex is really good on them! it's hard to explain, but I hope to do that in my next video!!!

The constant jump cuts are really annoying with the background noise, why not just not have them?
