Looks good with the wedge soles. My preference would be with a black wedge to reduce the contrast on this boot/ taking away the focus on the chromexcel blk leather

You have some of the best cobbler content on KZread! A true artisan. I also like the more beige wedge vs the regular cream white ones!

That's the boot I want... I kinda think the wedge soles don't look very good... but I think I would like the comfort. I thought about getting a pair of Thursday diplomats with the wedge sole, then having them resoled... but now they make a few with the regular lug sole.

It’s just preference, I have 2 more pairs of the brass boot with commando soles, and as I mentioned they make the very same boots with wedge soles. To me this is more casual And a bit more comfortable Thanks for watching Sir.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Brass Boots...but I don't wear them often because those heavy lug soles aren't that comfortable when I gotta be on my feet all day. I end up reaching for my Field Boot, Origin Maine, or Thorogood wedge sole boots instead of the fine Brass Boot because of the all-day comfort factor. Sad, because I'm always reaching for my Diesel and Ottawa boots in casual/office situations. I'd consider resoling them, but only with a black outsole. Enjoyed.

Fantastic boots! I just sit here and say WOW. I prefer wedge soles because I am old and have foot and back issues, and the wedge soles really do help me have less pain. Further, these are very good-looking boots on their own, but I agree, the wedge would be my choice. Maybe a black wedge? No matter, great job. They look sharp.

They look really good. I have 5 GS boots, 3 Brass, 1 Ottawa and 1 Chelsea. I got rid of all my Redwings but 2. Kept an Iron Ranger and a Blacksmith to ride my Harley. Also kept one pair of Truman green Kudu.

I’m not a fan of wedge soled boots but those look good

My least favorite thing about wedge soles is that they’re typically white. I hate white soles because they get dirty so quickly. These however could look so cool on so many different boots. The new Red Wing Iron Ranger Traction Tread would look awesome in this color sole. Nice work as always.

Not a big fan of wedge sole, but I completely get where you're coming from. My GS boots are the most difficult to break in and not as easy on my feet as other brands like Alden. Also, I might have a small project for you if you can fix heel stacks. I live close to East LA.

They are A bit darker, I don’t like the regular ones either cause they get dirty just by looking at them 😅😅 They’re the WALKBASE wedge soles slightly softer than Vibram Christy and yes I did use the same midsoles Thanks 🙏

No black polish/cream is needed but only leather conditioner Thanks

It's most likely there to prevent squeaking if I had to guess. It's not unusual for nicer footwear to have thin layers of fabric or paperboard between some of the leather layers for that purpose.

En cuanto a comodidad ahí ya depende de cada persona, pero la Suela blanca es más cómoda, en cuanto al cuerpo de la bota estas botas tienen forro en su totalidad No podemos hacer comparacion son 2 botas diferentes Pero en cuanto a su pregunta yo prefiero Grant Stone. Y epecialmente esta piel. Desafortunadamente hay que tener las 2 😅
