The little sea hare reminded me of snorkeling at Catalina Island during a school trip and our guide dove down and brought up a giant sea hare, it was about a foot long and felt like velvet. A great memory, better than being chased and nipped by territorial Garibaldi fish at every turn lol

Love the videos, love the shellfish-collecting ones in particular, and love seeing James grow a little bolder in handling the sea life you find (I remember a video not too long ago where you found a big starfish and he was too rattled by it to venture on camera and see it, and now look at him releasing live fish and offering his own shellfish lectures!) It's so calming to see you and your family enjoying the seaside and making delicious meals together. Thanks for sharing these with us, as always. One question-how do the flavor/texture of the scallop corals compare to the meat? I've never tried them, but the bright orange color looks weirdly tempting...

- It is wonderful to see how his confidence is growing isn't it. The meat of the coral is a very different texture and very easy to overcook. Almost like moose when done right but can easily be like rubber. The mean is like lobster tail. 😊
