Under Shawn Clark the Neers have lost 16 games in 3 1/2 years and only lost 17 games in the 6 years prior from 2014 - 2019. Time to fire Shawn Clark.

eh the sunbelt has changed a lot hard to compare with 6 years prior. also transfer portal change changes a lot with competition. id give him another year

​@@natehabte9838well we are generally getting the best recruiting class of all Sunbelt teams every year now, we've only had one bad decade and that was the 70's.. it doesn't matter that the Sun belt has gotten better, we should be better it seems like Shawn Clark does it have the same structure or discipline or something they're playing a lot more sloppy and losing games on key plays in big plays which never happened in the past.

​@@natehabte9838what I'm saying is a lot of the times now we are seemingly average.. I think it's a coaching and direction issue.. Old Coach Jerry more would have done real good with the level of talent we have.. he could have never imagined even having a top 100 recruiting class in the NCAA.

​@@natehabte9838Jerry Moore was the longtime 20 + year head coach that got us to beat Michigan, and helped to push us to FBS.. then he retired handing it off to Scott satterfield who took over the reins and then stabbed Us in the back whenever a big school which was Louisville offered him a bunch of money.. send the very next year we had Eli drinkwitz who performed just as well as Scott satterfield and it look like we were going to be good.. and we were getting ranked on and off just like with Scott satterfield.. then after only one year Eli drinkwitz stabbed Us in the back yet again and went to Missouri.. Shawn Clark was an old offensive lineman for app State that's why they chose him but he's apparently not a very good head coach.. seems like it's a lack of hard work and discipline and fundamentalism.. Appalachian State was always known for having grueling hard practices that would be harder than any game that they would plan so that way playing in the game would seem easier.. Jerry more did that Scott satterfield did that Eli drinkwitz did that and I'm sure Sean Clark being a former player is a players coach and not doing that..

App State just displayed the worst pass coverage I think I’ve ever seen.

That's been their Achilles heel the last two seasons, in my opinion. The defense is giving up 30 points a game, so far, this season. They were 6-6 last year, and 3-3 this season (to date).

I've known Appalachian State for too long there's something going on in the coaching practices and strength and conditioning.. Appalachian State has a football culture people usually don't get sloppy with the ball and fumble seems like there's not as much discipline as they used to be at Appalachian State.

When Tucker fumbled the ball and the defense picked it up the guy was clearly out of bounds I was at the game and now have seen it on KZread. Think App got unlucky with some bad calls

idk about y’all but i’ll throw this out there: the middle-bottom half of the sun belt (this year) is better than the middle-bottom half of the big-12 and big-10. as we already saw Texas St take care of Baylor. JMU should definitely be ranked if they win again this week

They're both former I-AA teams. Appalachian State is known to non-football fans for an opening season upset over a non-vintage Michigan team. The media (particularly ESPN) overrated the upset, even though Michigan didn't exactly have Griese, Woodson, the A Train, David Terrell, or any of those types of players. Their best players were Chad Henne, Mike Hart, and Mario Manningham, all 🚮 in the NFL.
