*I'm happy for Holton Ahlers (ECU's QB), as he closed out his career for the Pirates with a big win and game MVP.* Before the season as I was reading Athlon's 2022 National College Football preview on ECU and watching Ahlers' 2021 film here on KZread, I was hoping he'd put together a good senior year as to help his visibility for NFL, USFL, or XFL scouts. I guess he's done that now.

So glad for Holton to end his career at ECU this way. He truly bleeds purple and gold. Thanks to Jaylen Johnson and Winstead for coming in and making this season a success; they will be missed. Deuce is a beast, love his work ethic and humility. Will miss Stringer and Berry dearly, but glad they've been part of ECU's resurgence.

Those East Carolina uniforms are probably the best retro uniforms I've seen in all of football at any level

ECU has come a long way since Mike Houston became head coach. Back when JMU beat ECU (and Houston was JMU's coach), ECU finished the 2017 season 3-9 I think. And now Coastal has been blown out by a team whose head coach was at JMU, who also destroyed Coastal by 40. Once Cincinnati, UCF, and Houston leave for the Big 12, I think ECU will be competitive enough for the AAC championship.

ECU was on FIRE that game! 🔥 Some phenomenal playing to close out the 2022 season and for many of the seniors who deserved it! 👏🏻 💜💛

I saw this game live, and I have to say bless 🤣 Coastal Carolina's heart for thinking that they were still in this game and that they were on their way to a comeback when they scored to cut ECU's lead to 45-29 at 11:25.

These announcers were garbage. It felt like they favored Coastal Carolina most of the game and missed some moments like the fumble recovery by ECU at the start of the 3rd quarter.

Cc cbs just couldn't make the plays, maybe a cv2 wouldve worked a bit better instead of leaving them one on in cv3, out of position up front too ,the pass pro on offense wasn't there either, ecu just too strong in this one congrats pirates..

What's with these boy announcers. Dude doesn't sound like he's even hit puberty yet. Man they start em young these days.

The main commentator is a woman, but she certainly sounds like a guy.

I get losing your QB means a weaker offense, but wtf was that defense? This is payback to the Sun Belt for not giving JMU the transition waiver

I've been watching Coastal Carolina since they came up to the FBS level and I have never seen them get their asses kicked like this. But give ECU credit, they were on point running the ball and passing it. I'm just happy for Holton Ahlers. Hope he gets a fair shot in the pros.
