From the comeback, to the goal-line give-up, to the game-winning block, to the end of the perfect season... this game provided non-stop drama and is one of the greatest non-NY6 bowls ever played, in my opinion.

I go to LU. Coastal are our old rival from both of our time in the Big South. This game delivered on everything it was hyped to be.

Not sure about that. I think they just had their arms tangled briefly and the Coastal player fell down with almost no contact, like he was trying to get the flag. I don't think the Liberty player ever held or grabbed. It looked worse in real time than in slow motion. To me, it was a good no call

Game never should have gone into overtime. Why the hell did number 8 for Liberty not take a knee as soon as he got the ball? The clock would've continued to run as Coastal was out of timeouts. Let it run down as much as possible and kick the chip shot to win it. That game was more dramatic than it should have been.

My dad went to Liberty I’m a penn State fan but I would say that that was definitely a touchdown where they say he fumbled and that was probably a pass interference in overtime on that wide receiver for coastal Carolina so I’d say it’s pretty even so I don’t think anybody can really complain about too much of anything great game. Best bowl game , between former fcs rivals, these two exciting teams , will be house hold names

Can’t believe I didn’t watch this game live. What a game by both teams. Hopefully these teams can stay solid over the years. 🙏🏼

The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is Coastal losing the last game of the year.

I’m in high school in Auburn, AL, and I’ve been growing up as an Auburn fan. Having said that, seeing what an incredible year Coastal Carolina had this season, and since their school itself is very appealing to me, I’m definitely gonna be a CCU fan from here on out. Shame they couldn’t pull off the win in this one, but still a great game. GO CHANTS!

Best game I’ve seen since Michigan vs Florida state had a instant classic in 2016. Ik there have been a lot of good games but these 2 are my favorites.

Finally a good bowl game

I thought Coastal deserved a little more respect (not cfp respect) but maybe a ranked opponent bowl game. I guess i was wrong

Great season for both teams didn’t know who either of them were before this season now fully aware of the rivalry and everything Gonna be some of my favourite non-power 5 schools for some time to come!!

Damn it. Forgot it was on. Kicking myself (over & over)! Thanks for the great highlight package though, I was into it.

After this game, nobody should still think that Coastal Carolina belongs to the playoffs.

I don't even know what the 2nd call you are even referencing. There was only 1 controversial overtime call and seeing it again it looked like being tangled up unintentionally, no holding or grabbing. Looked like Coastal player lost his footing on his own.

Liberty won this game because at the end of the 4th qtr CC didn’t want to drive down the field and attempt to win the game. This is the second big game I’ve seen this. When north western played OSU the other day. They had the lead before half time and took it to the locker room after a pic with 30 seconds left and 1 timeout. That’s just sorry football and you don’t deserve to win the game for that. Congrats to liberty. Maybe they’ll get more respect next year

No they didn’t. Coastal still had a chance to convert on 3rd and hit a tying fg. That was their fault. A missed call on 3rd down doesn’t determine the game.

Such a contrast watching a classy school like liberty take on such a trashy school in CCU. I can’t believe such dirty play continually goes unpunished by the coaches and administration. Some of those dudes should be in jail

No telling what would have happened though. CCU could have fumbled or thrown an interception afterwards, maybe had a shorter field goal blocked. Liberty may still have won. I will say the officiating has been atrocious in CFB all year. I'm not sure what the answer is, but it's becoming a crisis.
