Coachella 2024 kicks off in California: Here's who's playing
The first weekend of Coachella Music and Arts Festival kicks off Friday with dozens of artists performing on a variety of stages throughout the festival. Jem Aswad, executive music editor for Variety, joined CBS News to discuss the performers in this year's lineup.

@@robertjamesonmusic Instead of learning and improving skills, what do you get from Coachella besides wasting money and time?
I remember great Day on the Green concerts and fantastic venues like the Hollywood Bowl with optimal Acoustics. The latest generation has different destinations, like the Desert for nightmare conditions even when it's a 'nice' day to trudge around Burning Man trash for thousands, or swelter and get robbed at Coachella. Times change; a nice date used to be a cool concert and breakfast in bed. Now they dream about the desert winds of change blowing sound around sandblasting skin, making lunch crunch, and hopefully some hot Lust in the Dust.

I think you missed the entire point of WHY it NEEDED to happen outside of the county of LA… contracts and ticketmasters ring a bell? You need to learn your history old timer.
