Lost the clutch pedal in my 13 JKUR 8 months ago and it was the slave cylinder. Just lost it again today and the slave looks fine so I’m guessing it’s my master, but it’s not leaking. I definitely have no pedal though... damned Jeeps. You’re right though... this is the only JK clutch master cylinder video on KZread.

My seals failed on mine today while in traffic, so I couldn't let it stop. Luckly I was able to get it into a couple gears with a little southern charm🤫. The signals🚦were in my favor, so she it home safely - thank God. Ordered another clutch master. Still wouldn't give up on my JK, but she does nickle and dime me🤪. Whatta Father's Day. Thanks for the video😁👍🇺🇸. OlllllllO

Roughly how many miles did you have on your jeep to when this part failed?

@@michaelw.5921 Maybe 200 or so. It's those plastic inserts seals on the line. Quadrarec replaced the line, but every now and then, it will still leak. I apply a little pressure to push it into the master cylinder, and that seems to stop the leak. Doing a motor swap thru Motech here soon, and switching to an automatic.

Thanks for this vid. Every time I have work on this stupid thing I watch the first 10 seconds of this and I instantly feel better knowing I'm not alone out there. 😂

Fucking perfect. Finally, I find this video. Jeeps leak making me replace the master cylinder and possibly the tube, but I was weary to attempt without a little guidance. Appreciate you man

Thanks for the vid! I think what broke on mine was the connector where the pedal hooks up to the master cylinder plunger. It still needed to be replaced.

First Jeep, purchase pre-owned, Rubicon, stupid clutch squeaks and feels like it binds.. replacing this, as i can't figure out what the hell else it could be, shifts fine, but that binding feeling when it's hot, sucks ass.. Rather do the work that even under warranty deal with the dealerships.

When I pulled the hydraulic line out of the old slave, there was no little rubber cap. I did it slow are carefully and I'm certain it didn't fly off and roll away. I looked inside and even smashed the slave open with a hammer and it wasn't there. The boot was torn on the old one though. I inserted the line into the new slave, removed the master cylinder cap and pumped it by hand until it had pressure. Then I bolted it up and pressed the clutch about 50 times. Jeep was parked facing up hill. I then put the cap back on and drove it around the block. It works perfectly fine. I checked the slave and no leaks. My question to anybody and everybody is, has anyone experienced this also? Not having the little rubber cap? I haven't driven it far yet so if it starts leaking I know why. But so far so good and it's interesting that there was no cap present. 🤷‍♂️ Does anyone know the part number for the hydraulic line? Just incase.
