(Or perhaps an identical yellow flower pin badge to the one we see on their dream date.) He pins it on his chest like Aerith did and carries it with him. Then when he finds her, he gives her the yellow flower as a role reversal of their first meeting. ("Lovers used to give these, when they were reunited.") As a 28 year old straight dude, these two characters have me dealing with emotions I never thought I was capable of.

@@DuffmanChess remake built up a lot for them and then rebirth didn’t have much until the last 3 hours which were an absolute rollercoaster of cloud and Aerith moments that came out of nowhere. I don’t blame you for getting emotional it was crazy

I hope that Cloud and Aerith will eventually somehow end up together at the end of the 3 part. I just don't see the reason not to, Square Enix gave too much information about that

Of course they will. The song promises to keep is from Aerith to Cloud, it's a love song confirmed by Nobuo Uematsu. Cloud's song isn't exactly a love song (Hollow), but in it he talks about his regret for letting Aerith go.

We deserve some resolution for Cloud and Aerith in the next game. Fingers crossed ❤

Their story is beautiful and bittersweet. It's been my favorite love story since '97. I'm hoping for a happy ending for them this time...

In OG Aerith tells Cloud to leave Sephiroth to her. Here we see Cloud making the same promise. At the end it says "No promises kept at journey's end"... Any ideas what this could be about?
