Having competed many of the hardest cracks in each specific size Pete revisits the Kraken after 13 years to see if any improvements have been made and tries to tick off the world's hardest crack boulder

Pete is always so humble it makes me forget how strong he actually is.

He doesn't look that strong either, a real life Spiderman
Finally, someone got the memo on how much better quiet, unedited climbing films are. very nice. thank you

Hearing the breathing pattern is so awesome as an intermediate climber trying to make it to advanced grades. I've been working on my breathing for quite a while now and really appreciate seeing how it is like on properly hard boulders!

I feel like they’d dispute the “unedited” part - still a lot of production value here with the different angles and voiceover

@@WideBoyz the voiceover at the start was perfect!
When Pete says "crack" 100 times in the first minute of the video you know it's going to be a good one.
LETS GO PETE. GREAT JOB. That looked easy, cant wait to see you first ascending a new hardest crack boulder in the world!!

I haven't been able to walk more than 20 yards since an op on my legs went wrong. For some reason I've been addicted to your content ever since and I've never had any interest in climbing. I guess it's my subconscious. Anyway, you've been a tremendous inspiration to me to push myself harder through the pain barrier of walking further.

you dont necessarily need your legs to climb..

I started watching climbing videos after a bad injury that kept me in rehab for over a year. The dream of someday being able to climb kept me motivated as I learned how to walk again. Like you, no interest in the sport before that injury but now I’m mostly healed and climbing. I wish you all the best on your road to recovery! There are also some awesome adaptive climbing groups out there too.

With pete smashing this out in what amounts to one session, I have to imagine the title "hardest crack boulder" wont stand for long once pete does a first ascent of a project
Great achievement! Love your contents. We need more Mari too! By the way, I love how you never say "it feels impossible" but say "it feels desperate" instead! Great self-talk strategy!

People are starting to open some hard crack boulders in font. There is a beautiful 7c finger crack roof line at Rocher Des Demoiselles called Lueur d'Espoir, a massive 7c+/8a off width at Mont Ussy and some new 8a lines which share a start with an off-width at Apremont Haut des Gorges. Maybe you’ve already done them but if not it’d be cool to see you get on them. There is probably ample space for some harder lines to be opened as well.

This madlad: crushes V13, ends the video with absolutely no addition on words "that felt good". When the post-vid ad kicked in I was completely sure its one of those mid-video ones.

Let's goo!! Congratulations! (Also I enjoyed the little production with the context and everything).

Thanks. Yeh Tom and I live in separate countries now rather than the 5 minutes it used to be. Should be some stuff in late summer 🤙
“In fact, Tom had been hooked on crack since before meeting me.” lol
very nice storytelling in this one! congratz on the ascent.
Sick video dude, love the unedited sequence of the boulder, so nice to watch
Waterhouse!! Absolute mad lad. Also 10/10 production and journey on this. Great work, greater send!
You continue to inspire, thank you.
Btw there’s a big cave with a bunch of roof cracks in hedbury, swanage as well as some sport routes. Rock is potentially loose but could be worth a look
Sick! What an effort Pete! Congrats
That was crazy, I love how clean Pete climbs
Extremely impressive stuff here! Absolutely brilliant.
Looking strong as hell, Pete! Epic job!
That was awesome, nice work Pete.

Woah, super impressive. Good effort Pete!
Hell yeah! 🔥 Congrats!
Legend you made it look easy💪🏻 Keep up the good work🔥
So happy to see others enjoy Crack as much as I do.
incredibly impressive show! well done
What a beast!! Well done chap!
Bloody hell Pete do you ever drop anything!? Good work, control is immense.
Holy shit Pete. Great work. Since you did the world's hardest crack boulder after only some hours of training on it ... You should try to find a V14 next. So impressive!
What an amazing send. 💪
Thank you Pete for unedited and quiet footy
Congrats Pete!!!!
I am hooked on crack too! Never tried any climbing in my life though, but it looks fun.
So now Pete is arguably the best, most well-rounded crack climber around, yet still so modest!
Thanks for video
Awesome job!
Good effort pete. Wicked send
Pete's power endurance is ridiculous. I feel like he climbs how every boulderer wishes they could. The second all of the moves are done, the problem just goes from the start. Sick climbing Pete
Way to go pete. Nice run
That is so crazy I could never
Good effort
I make more noise climbing a V5. I couldn’t even imagine how hard this was. Keep it up man 👍
Legend.
Crushed it within an hour! Well done Pete!

amazing video and climbing
That last move before the ‘saddle’ type move was awesome and ballsy but I expect nothing else 💪🏻🔥👏🏻👏🏻🧗🏻♂️🏴

Pete smashed it! 😃
I have no clue how your knees can survive this kind of stuff. Brutal. Nice send!
Pete gone full beast mode!
Gotta find a V14 now Pete!
What can I say, good effort
Congrats
congrats!
Ditto what everyone else wrote (awsome cruise to victory) and happy there's a Mari & Toby vids in the pipeline as well as you looking for something harder to do 😁 No pressure 😀 Got to see this today & the Magnus Marte video too, happy day.
Amazing climbing, brilliant story telling, beautiful scenery and NO crappy overlaid music = fanbloodytastic vid, many many thanx. Question: if your chalk bag touches the ground whilst doing a boulder problem is that a dab 🤷😁😁
Looks crackin'
Nice send! Hard to judge the quality of the crack from this POV, but given that it's V13 I'm sure it's absolutely grueling.
if a hold breaks and lands on the ground, and you step on the broken hold, is it a dab? I mean, it is part of the boulder, it has just moved to the ground
Absolute monster
between crak , putting and stoking in there is so much meme potential here
So gnarly!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Pete, does it count since you didn't do a sit start? Amazing ascent man.
The sit start to sasquatch in Yosemite is a contender for one of the hardest in the world too I believe!
Awesome :)
8:27 Like "the Bolt moves" of Crucifix :P Have you trained that? XD
Strong!
Cool to see you down at Sally's, Pete. My local crag. Tick central down there, though. Any biteage?
