Climb to Camp Muir - Paradise - Mt. Rainier - Washington State

Vlog about our climb to Camp Muir - May 22, 2021. At 10,080 ft., Camp Muir is as high as you can go on Mount Rainier without a climbing permit. To get there, you gain 4,640 ft over about 4 miles. It's my new favorite place to suffer!

Did this walk back in the 80’s by myself. Something you don’t forget. Hot day too. Lots of water. Snow much snow in July back then.

If you went through Eatonville you drove by my backyard with 5 Black German Shepperds. I been to the top a couple of times in the 70s and Muir a couple more times. I don't think I can even make Muir now with my lungs they give out around 8000feet . My niece quit her job as manager of Whitaker Mountaineering last year to get married to a mountain guide. Too bad this wasn't last week of June during our 100 degree outbreak we lost 30% of the snow in 4 days.

Thanks for sharing. Whitaker’s is awesome. We stopped there for drinks afterwords. Love that place.

We brought the 10 essentials and crampons, and we had one stove between all of us in case we needed to boil water. Oh, and I brought a 32" smart TV in case I got bored. That's about it!
