I just climbed this a few weeks ago. We did summit but conditions where bad (visibility and shit weather). The Roman wall was AWFUL!!! It was nothing but ice and rock which makes it even worse than it already is. On my way down I had to be helicoptered out due to breaking my tib/fib. Do it in July instead for sure.

@@milesfrussell we were two hours from the trailhead, there was a root sticking out of the ground on a small hill, my foot slipped into it, i slipped, the foot didn’t. I heard it break. Great video. I solo climbed this exact route. From cold springs up to lunch counter I drank 4 quarts of water. I promised my family I would be back down the second day. I decided not to climb the rest of the way as I knew crescent would be too soft and I'd hurt myself. I was 375 lbs and carried a 70 lb pack to lunch counter. I was blessed to learn the mountaineering rest step from friends when we climbed to the top of st. Helen's and the south sister

If you hike the ridge east of Black and White Lakes, you get a spectacular view down into the basin that cradles Murdock Lakes. The basin is full of tarns and rock gardens. The terrain around Murdock Lakes has some beautiful meadows. Not easy to get into, but if you are feeling spry…

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to my home country, the Golden Land of Myanmar. I have been to Mandalay several times and used to live in Pyin Oo Lwin as a young boy (I live in the United States now). I'm a bit surprised you didn't go to Yangon which happens to be my hometown and the largest city in Myanmar. You should have also visited Bagan which is the main tourist attraction in the country with over 2,000 temples, pagodas and stupas spread out on the plains besides the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River, known as the lifeblood of the nation. Bagan has the largest concentration of Buddhist temples in the world.
