A BEAUTIFUL day for a Ski Tour up to Camp Muir
We went out to Mount Rainier National Park to ski up to Camp Muir. Camp Muir is a very normal ski tour for anyone in Washington but we have had some pretty tough luck on this objective. We had to turn around due to possibly being socked in with fog. It was an awesome day backcountry skiing and we will get it next time!
I love getting outside and exploring the world around me! Weekends are meant to be fun and exciting, not time to sit down and relax. Get out there and see something cool.

Every time I hike up to Muir I spend the night. I want to spend as much time as I can on the mountain, I have had so many awesome clear nights and so many incredible sunrises up there. I am about to pull the trigger on getting my backcountry ski gear, I smile when I think about how quickly getting back down to the parking lot will be.
Looked like an amazing day to be at Rainier!!

What size skis are you running on those atomics? And how tall are you?

They’re 182s and I’m 5’11”

How far of a skin is it to Muir?
im taking avy 1 this december. So excited to get into BC. I am debating renting skis + boots or just skis and using my gripwalk tech/downhill combo boots

That’s so rad! Glad you’re getting educated and your boots should be chilling! I have the K2 Mindbender 120s that have that same toe, I believe, and absolutely love them!
