Clear Water Creek Fishing -- Middle Tennessee

Ойын-сауық

So I took a week off work for vacation and the first place i went was a couple hours over to middle tennessee to fish a creek i had been dreaming of fishing for a while now. When i got there it was better looking than i even had imagined. Had a great time wading and fishing the crystal clear water and catching several smallmouth bass. i went through several different lures to try and catch fish but a lot of fish looked hesitant to hit when usually i would have caught them. The fishing wasn't as on fire as i hoped, and was not able to land a monster. It's so fun exploring a new creek and seeing what is in there. This video was edited while riding in a vehicle so it might not be the best.

Years ago, I owned property on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. There was a spot where the flood plain butted up against a rock outcrop. I used to find nightcrawlers in the rich soil deposited there. The Smallmouth Bass would go nuts. Now I'm older, I've sold the property, but I will never forget catching those smallies out in the rocky river bed. My favorite fish of all time.

That used to be my idea of what I wanted to fish until I learned that dingy water was much easier to fish. I can go to the dirty looking Rock River here in town any day after work and catch a lot of unsuspecting smallies, some almost at my feet. For over 20 years I looked at the brownish water and never knew it was loaded with smallies. They have no idea you are there and you dont know when they will hit. Cant see shit, but more fun to me.

John, excellent video. I think that Smallie that you felt that you rushed was going to come off at some point. It's been my experience that fish like that, that do a lot of dancin' are really prone to throwing the hook, especially smallies because they are the best at doing it. It was really fun watching you go after that guy on "sight". The video quality was such that I could watch him swim over which was amazing. Thanks for showing the "Adams Family" of suckers there at the end of the video...that was way cool watching them turn over rocks in search of food. Thanks for posting bro.

That was a lot of bass you caught but no monster sized ones but it was good to see the number of fish you caught out of that Creek. Nice scripture you put up at the end of your video. How do you know what scripture to put up at the end of each video? Fellow angler Robert Gildea Elmira NY

You should try a fly rod with a clouser minnow or a white woolly bugger

And those small Creeks one thing I've noticed you have not use it's just a plain white rooster tail. Also the chartreuse rooster tail. And if you want to try any topwater I would use the pop r. I've caught some of my biggest smallmouth I'm at Pop R

Creek Fishing Adventures Oh. I have the same model and size as well. I really it too, especially the drag settings. But the only downfall with the spinning reel is if I whip the rod too hard for a long cast, the bail will automatically shut on me. I have lost a swimjig and a chatterbait (3/8 Z-Man Jackhammer White) when this happened.
