Rainy Fall Creek Fishing (middle Tennessee)
Спорт
Got to fish one of the most beautiful creeks that i have ever been too. The weather was rainy ad getting colder, a typical late October day. The day ended with a painful loss of a 3-5 pound fish that took off and snapped my 6 lb extra tough line like it was nothing. I will most certainly be back to fish this creek and search for those smallmouth next summer when the weather warms up, if i dont go sooner.

You do your videos the right way. No absurdly long intro. I like it. That’s how I do my videos.
Love your videos. the fact that you showed that fish you lost makes me feel a bit better about all of my fishing hiccups.

haha glad i could help
I wish i had a creek like this near me. I could go fishing more often.
Wish we had a Chick-fil-A in Montana! Enjoy how you fish to just enjoy fishing
Wow such a beautiful creek. Caught some good fish. Just an all around good video.
Love the clear water is and the smallmouth bass along with blue catfish and flathead are on my bucket list
Hope you get feeling better soon nice creek hope you go back when the weather nice and warm
Watching this video and all your other ones have given me the motivation to rig up my zebco dock demons, the "deluxe", and take my sons to my local creeks. Good job on the videos. Fish on!!
Very nice place to fish. The rock bass and smallmouth were biting good that day.
Missing the winning shot is a disappointment, but those are the things that make us appreciate the real joys in life! You're still a winner. Keep up with these great videos!
Don't forget... It's not the destination, it's the journey. That fish looked like fun! Keep having fun.
Great day on the water! I can't wait until I can go soon! Keep it up!! God bless you!!
Another great video!!! When you use Nikko baits, you can do a lot of things that you aren't supposed to and still catch fish. I do it all the time. Good to see you catching fish on the Nikko sculler shad.
Beautiful! Biggest bass I ever caught was in the rain, just north of 6 lbs. Thanks for the fishing and nice scenery. 👍🏼
Wish I can fly over there... Such a beautiful scenery n clear water creek
Amen ,and the big fish may be about next time for you.Hope you get over the cold.
Beautiful creek, I wish we had a few sandy bottom creeks over here in NE Tn. Those rocky bottom creeks are harder to wade. Great video sir, hope you are feeling better.
Oh my gosh my throat is killing me had a 101 fever Sunday. I wish you well in getting better

i didnt get a fever but havent been feeling good for like 6 days
Mmmm Chic Fil a and fishin.. You done did good yet again young man.
Hey man, hope you feel better. Those fish that break your line are there for a reason. Rejoice because you are doing the right things to hook them up on your presentation. They are reminders that you have the right game plan in action for the conditions that you are fishing and from what I saw in this video, you were having a "hot" day. John, those rock bass were absolutely gorgeous fish. I don't think I've seen better looking rock bass in your vids in terms of color and size. Thanks for sharing.
Footage at the end was great (underwater) whole video just showed the reality of fishing sometimes you win big sometimes you win small but when you are doing what you love you never lose
Feel that break off mate. Happy you showed it!
Hope you soon get over the cold. That is a really nice fishing creek. It sure was lots of really nice fish. 😊
If my dad was fishing with you there would be a stringer of red eyes getting ready to be fried up for dinner! Great videoBTW Best wading shoes ever, guaranteed, tested and proved...…..Canvas Converse Chuck Taylors!
I recently had a question on my English test: "What is the meaning of life?" I said Chick-fil-a and fishing.

There is nothing like the feeling of hooking up to a huge fish and then losing it. Sorry man. Smallmouth creek fishing is so much fun. Great video with some really nice fish. I really like the underwater action there at the end. Well done!!
Nice work on the creek, feel better man! Managed to get an hour to fish a lake after work , got 2 chunky largemouth bass 1 - 2lbs, and a nice bluegill all on a spinner.
Nice looking creek, looks like it's full of Smallies.
I gotta comment again. (SORRY!!!) . Dude....that 2nd fish you caught, that Rock Bass.....I rewatched this video tonight and that Rock Bass is simply gorgeous. I hope you hit this spot again in the spring time.

Yes, this place I might have to try fishing a couple days at. It’s so beautiful and full of big fish
One lesson I learned in Little League I still remember 45 years later: Losing hurts more than winning feels good. Thanks for posting, I enjoy your channel and wish you success in your new career.

thanks, but something inside us tells us to keep trying
Great video, honestly watching you break off a good fish though heartbreaking makes the video more relatable!
Wow John! That was without a doubt one of your best videos. Those rock bass are so brightly colored and of good size. I caught several just like those this past summer, really yellow golden colored with blazing red eyes- absolutely beautiful! In my opinion this species is one of the most under-rated gamefish out there. Tennessee has some really fine creek fishing. The state record Rock Bass was caught in the Stones River in 1958 by Bill Sanford. It weighed 2 lbs. 8 oz. My personal best is right at 11 inches, and it weighed 1 lb. 2 oz. I hear that the Buffalo river has some good smallmouth and rock bass fishing. I know they also have a canoe rental program there, so you can fish and canoe down the river as well. In regards to the big one you lost.....well, don't feel bad because I lost a really nice bass this summer, but instead of breaking my line, he just came un-hooked. It happens to the best of us.

thanks buddy, i will definitely get back there again, i will check out the canoe rental thing, sound nice

Don't feel bad about the big one. Your video is real thanks man!
Start with the Lords chicken finish with a basketball story with some fishing in between...good vid... it's funny you thought of the game with that big fish...me missing a big fish is were I came up with my youtube name because I went back to the spot several times trying to catch that fish...never did lol
Love the videos! Keep up the good work sir!!
Losing fish is something every fisherman does, just stay at it. Love your videos brother and keep doing it
This looks like a tributary of the Caney Fork.. Great video!

about 4 hours away, cumberland river
Nice fishing! Hate to see that break-off. That light line can get damaged easily...have to check it all the time. I use the SOS lines from Leland lures...seems to be super tough and super slim and low tangle...I haven't had a break off in the two years I have used it. Not a commercial...just passing it along. Keep the vids coming...helps with these cloudy blah days.

Awesome day of fishing homie!!! I need to find some of those hellgramite looking lures for my local creeks. Man, all those rock bass were chunky and stout man. I find them from time to time in the big rivers up north, but never that big. awesome stuff man!!!!

You had me at Chic-fil-a! lol
Hard-core fisherman always find a way to fish. Under the bridge out of the rain and here come the fish. We all have lost fish before, so don't feel bad. For "me" I use 10# test braid, just for times like this. Snags, trees, rocks, etc. all can fray yer mono line. Tho ya do real good with mono. Stay with what works for you. Thanks for a cool video. Tom DB, FL.
Enjoy your vids, and especially like it when you leave the GoPro recording under water. You might consider doing a vid casting the GoPro with your rod, then moving it every so often. Neat!
That sure beats a good day at work. Thanks
another great video thanks for sharing Sir Sir you did something right you pursue your passion thank you Sir that's very encouraging

You're not going to make every shot you take.but, you'll never make the shot if you don't take it.looked like a pretty good day of fishing to me.I would love to have a day like that.I need to take a shot at it.sadly I haven't been fishing in a while.maybe I'll take a day off soon, and actually go fishing.god bless, and a good day to all.thanks for another awesome video.
Bro nice video. But don't get worse, hope you feel better. Blessings.....👊👊
The big boy would've been a great bonus, but it's already been a successful day crappy weather and all. 👍🏻😎
Very nice water And good fishing to makes me wish the weather was nicer Here in Missouri so I could get out and do some fishing as well
Hope you feel better soon

Amazing 🤘🤠🎣🐟
A friend allways says "you cannot put bites in the smoker" , sitll: hellgrammite is your weapon. But please: take care of yourself, get well! Greetings from germany
AMEN!! Definitely a heartbreaker! Those sores on smallmouth bass happen when the water is warmer than usual land not much rain.. They are a parasite 🦠 under the skin. Back when we ate fish out of the river, you threw those back...

Those Middle Tennessee Rock Bass sure have big mouths.I don't catch many Rock Bass in North Carolina.
Cool video. I was lucky enough to score one of those Veritas spinning rods for free recently. I happened to be at the dump just seconds before a man pulled up and was throwing one in the trash. He said he didn't remember what was wrong with it, but remembered it was trash. I put a reel on it and have been using it ever since. Not a thing wrong with it,,,,,,,,some people,,,,

Another great vid, man those rock bass are beautiful and I noticed they have red eyes,so my question this time is are they related to the coosa or are they some type of sunfish because I also noticed the gill
