John and I found a 2 person canoe in the Hiwassee River! It was a little banged up, but definitely fixable. They must have tipped it over while riding the last rapid and couldn't get it back upright and the water out of it. We were able to get it out of the current and close to the bank to lift it out of the water and flip it over the best we could and take it down to the boat ramp so the owners can claim it, or someone else take it. There was no way to know who's it was, so we couldn't attempt to find the owners of it to let them know we recovered it for them.
