Tallulah gorge - 550 cfs
Tallulah Gorge. In whitewater kayaking, there are a few rivers that are set apart. One of the Crown Jewels of the Southeastern United States is the Tallulah Gorge. With only a few runs per year, kayakers descend upon the gorge to partake in the obligatory pilgrimage to this special place. Come along as we paddle through one of the prettiest places on earth...

Nope, nope, nope...30-40 years ago I'd have said, "Hand me a paddle, Y'all watch this!" 😄 😄 But I did love watching this! Freaking awesome runs! And people!
So pumped for this episode was such a privilege to boat with the river kings!!
Amazing video, amazing characters! I ran into your videos on KZread a while ago. Beside the beautiful images what I enjoy the most are two things (
got a new TV, and now it's like im in your boat. Another gorgeous video, pun intended.
Dennis took me down the Watauga the first time, great seeing him again.
good run and good video Pete, yes that is one of the top of the classic rivers of the South East, so glad you could share that with us
That got me stoked more than any vid yet! All my favorite KZread and Facebook paddlers on the same river at the same time!!! Awesome!!!!
That was awesome 👌. Way to go Jer.
Fantastic! That river looks amazing and such a beautiful time of year to hit it. Also way to go Jer!
I found my heart rate increasing and the hair standing up on the back of my neck as I watched this.... This is definitely not amateur hour. Living vicariously through your videos Pete.
I really liked your final comments. especially the analogy using rolling a kayak is like dealing with life's struggles. sometimes its easier to pull the skirt off and escape the problem but sometime you hang in there and struggle with the problem and come out on top!
That was your best video Pete, excellent, thank you for every minute..
Oh man that looks incredible, I'm still pretty new to whitewater but I can't wait until I can get up there, it's only like an hour away from me
It`s great to see you again after long break, perfect paddle, and one of the best scenery to go kayaking. Very difficult river, and I love it. I have to watch all videos I missed. Best wishes!
This is a cool perspective to see the Gorge from. I grew up here and used to run the stairs for conditioning for high school basketball. Of course I didn’t get into kayaking until I left one of the best kayaking areas in the country-the Blue Ridge mountains.
What a great Tallulah video ! One of your best ever , thank you
Wow! that's the prettiest river I have seen and probably the scariest at the same time. Awesome job!
What a River!!! Thanks for the ride Pete!
looking at my PFD ton the Talullah this weekend. i appreciate the beta!
Jerry!
