You, ma’am, are braver than me dealing with those sorts of shelves. I ended up buying High & Mighty shelves, which are waaaaay easier to put in than those-they have a built-in level on the little sticky thing you put on the wall, plus the spots marked on the strip with the level to know where to place the bracket things, then you just slide and lock the shelf in.

The thing with the floating shelfs being wiggly is normal. It's because they're hollow on the inside and therefore the rod can wiggle quite a bit. You basically have to sacrifice a little stability if you want the floating look for a shelf.

This made me so happy! ❤️ it turned out amazing!!
