Love it. But how to do 2x2 (or 3x3) in the round?

I appreciate learning this new technique. I got the gist of it pretty well from your spoken description but would love to see it closer up & in a lighter yarn.

Rae, thankyou so much for this tutorial. It is exactly what I was looking for. Fortunately, it popped up automatically this morning and solved my dilemma. I am knitting the Ankers' My Size by Petite Knit, which, of course, has lots and lots of ribbing on the yoke. I was struggling to make my ribbing consistent and tidy, but you showed me how to correct that. Hugs from Texas, Barbara💕

Thanks for starting with the samples of normal ribbing, and back-loop ribbing. I've seen directions for using this back loop style elsewhere, and noticed it looked slightly different, but didn't know why you'd go to what seems like extra work for just a slightly different appearance. The difference in elasticity seems worth it, though.

Thank you for this video. I understood it very well. Just one request to use a different color yarn so we can see the stitch definition. With the yarn used in this video, it was difficult to see how the stitches looked on the swatch. Thanks.

Wish it was in sharper focus or closer. You are a good teacher and this looks valuable. Dinging in the background caused me to stop snd see if something was dinging here. Lost my focus then.

Thank you, thank you for this video. I just started knitting socks on DPNs and I was completely frustrated with my K1p1 ribbing. My knit stitches were so distorted. This video solved my problem. !!!

This is gonna take some 5hinking as I 'translate' to my method of knitting, Eastern Uncrossed which *always* wraps counter to English/Continental. I'm hoping simply changing the direction of wrap (as you did) will work as well. I knit with homespun Angora a lot, very little stretch to start with. My ribs can be pretty loose. Thanks!

I just found this video and want ro thank you so much for doing it! I have a question though. I've found earlier on an online article the second method you are using here. It said it would suit any rib stitch, so I tried using in on a 1/1 rib pattern... It came out awful :( I'm wondering why you suggest different methods for 1/1 and 2/2 ribbing 😊

I also tried the second method for the 2x2 rib, and I still get big gaps in my knit stitch before the purl (between the V)

It's the opposite, you knit through the back loop on the wrong side, otherwise, it changes the look of ribbing. Working in the round, you need to work as you show in row 2: Knit normally, and pearl through the back loop.
