A change in dynamic with Thor's Pride in this video. I think it is good for you to see that everything is not always straight forward and there are also challenges to overcome. It is important to realise this is Lion behaviour and not human behaviour and not to confuse this. Thanks for all of the great support in 2024 . Thank you for an enrichment walk with Thor's pride. Poor Neige, she looks sore and sad (ouch!). It's sweet to see Jubari wanting to have fun, from hiding in the grass, rolling in the poo, to playing with her pride sisters. I hope Lola's surgery goes well and she heals quickly. The exercise was a great idea, gave them a chance to run and play & sniff the poo. The pride loves and needs each other (separating them like what was tried for Vince isn't the solution either, I think). Neige's injuries reminded me of Vince the hyena, I wonder how they're doing?? 🥰😍🦁❤‍🩹

No matter how many times I am privileged to see a lion, they never fail to impress me with how beautiful and beautifully powerful they are.

I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees and my spine. When I watch Lion Whisperer TV it helps take my mind off the pain. I have found Kevin in several documentaries on KZread back in 2012 and I have followed him ever since then. I adore Kevin and I have fallen in love with the lions. 💕🦁💕 Please become a member and support the sanctuary.

I can imagine how hard it is go through two so close together like this. I’m so sorry! I lost my 17 year old Dachshund about two years ago and I can’t say it has much easier to be without her but I have been adjusting a little bit better. The people who can’t understand the grief of loosing a pet family member are people who just haven’t ever had one of their own. I hope your days get easier. 🐾🐾

I think Thors group is great. There’s always, always something going on. We must also remember they are wild animals too.

Something like this puts the care for the lions into the right perspective - it's obviously not just entichment walks and fun, there are many problems to be considered. Fortunately, they are in a safe environment with someone who has nothing but their wellbeing at heart. Hope Neige heals well 😊

I got a little choked up when I saw sweet Neige looking so sad and with wounds😢. And you are right, Kevin, it's good for us to see that these are LIONS, not house cats. What's really amazing though, is that my cats exhibit many of the same mannerisms as the lions. The "PLOP" is a perfect example of this😂 Thank you for taking us along on the walks!

Bless her, poor Neige. She’s always been a firm favorite of mine and I think it’s because I tend to pull for the weaker or underdog so to speak. She seems to have such a sweet demeanor. Funny you touched on how these videos are therapeutic for some folks. I know, for myself, I've always turned to these vids whenever I'm down and need a smile. The last couple years have been pretty rough for me, but seeing the lions and Kevin never fails to help me relax and smile when I need it most. Been a member for years and proud to be in the pride!

I've had the same _"condition"_ happen in a house cat. It makes me so so happy that Kev keeps such an intimate relationship/close eye with the pride because that means he catches the slightest changes and/or very quickly catches any injuries. _Tips my hat_ to Kev!! ❤ ❤

I am always impressed when I hear there is a remedy for the problems that arise with the big cats in your care Kev. Dr. Caldwell is amazing and with modern medicine at its best, I am sure harmony will soon return to Thor's Group. "We love you Neige, Kevin will have it sorted before too long." So many of us have a special place in our hearts for Neige. I remember you saying it is a human trait to feel empathy, and that it is not wise to anthropomorphize when it comes to the lions, but it’s difficult to see beautiful Neige being so solemn and not frolicking with her friends. I hope we maybe missed some of those scenes.

It's natural for males to scrap over pride dominance, but it's not normal for a male to attack the females in their own pride.

Lions are beautiful animals. Their faces, skull lines, eyes, paws, character, the flops... 😄 They're just perfect. If they ever disappear, it sure would be a sad moment in Earth's history and I wouldn't want to be around to see it. @Kevin In the states we have an ointment called _"Corona Ointment."_ It is normally used for large farm animals because it is very thick and will stay on longer as well as keeping unwanted insects, such as flys, out of the wound. Maybe something to look into for the prides.

Yikes - I immediately felt the tension from the very beginning throughout the entire video. That surprised me because I am simply watching online from thousands of miles away!This is an excellent video to remind us that these gorgeous lions that Kevin loves and knows inside out and backwards will always be wild animals of pure instinct. I watched a lion documentary the other day and thought the same thing. They looked haggard and the males were manky looking and covered is sores and scars. Kevin’s lions appear blissfully happy and content, well fed, great medical care and loads of affection. He does an amazing job taking care of these beautiful creatures.

Hopefully you step in if it gets too rough for Neige.

Wonderful video. Things always get tense in a pride when a female is in estrus(or in this case releasing hormones that shouldn’t be). Males get so possessive and will even attack other lionesses if they get close to the female in estrus. It just puts the whole pride on edge and squabbles happen. Love the lion walk videos. You do such a great job with these lions, lions in general, conservation, etc. I want to Thank You for everything. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 💜🦁
