Check out my first time hearing Forestella kzread.info/dash/bejne/iql1p8ysk82qiZM.html ===== Completely blurring the video still resulted in it being blocked! So I went for this filter instead so you can still see some of them (even though they're distorted and underwater 🏊‍♂) You can find the unfiltered video on my Patreon

Your detailed analysis of this “sweet” song from my childhood enabled me to appreciate Forestella’s discordant, darker version. Interestingly, my admiration for this group has increased. Thank you

Bae doohoon is actually a musical actor. So he fits musical songs like this very well!!

This is a song and performance I hadn't seen. It's fun indeed. The guys take an almost Voiceplay-like musical-comedy approach in their arrangement, choreography, and harmonies. Fun and a bit goofy: the Forrestella guys all have great senses of humor.

Absolutely fantastic reaction and analysis. Thank you very much. I don' t know how many times I have listened to this song before, yet until you highlighted Ko Woorim 's part in the beginning I never heard it. Please react to the song Champions ( The Seoul Festa version). It's a mash up of the Champions 'League song and the song Champions by Sumi Jo, a Korean Soprano. It is one of the songs where from beginning to end they go all out. The 4 of them don't sound like 4. It really sounds like more people singing. It is one of their songs that always sends chills down my spine and always makes me smile.

I was a child when this movie premiered,it was the first movie I ever went to. The music from this movie has been with me my whole life. I was even in the musical in high school. I love Forestella and I listen to them on a daily basis. Saying that this is my least favorite song cover they have done and it is because of the dissonance of the arrangement. Their shear technical ability leaves me stunned every time I listen to them sing. Not every song can be my favorite but this group certainly is. Thank for your reaction and expertise in breaking down music that we love.

Thank you, sir. You've done it again! Perfect reaction/analysis. Forestella, vocal acrobats! I love their hormanies, key changes, dynamics and intricacies. Sometimes I hear notes that I never thought would sound right, but they do! It makes me want to listen to their performances over and over again just to pick up on those harmonies and the accompaniment. What's also admirable is that you can hear each voice when they harmonize or sing in unison. What they do is not just sing and perform, they create pieces of vocal art, if you can call it that. They are, in my opinion, masters of their art. My musical dream come true.

Thank you for your wonderful Forestella analysis in detail! Their version of Bohemian Rhapsody made me their fan, My Favorite Things blew away the exit. This is one of my favorite performances from Forestella. I saw for quite people this is their least favorite song.😂 I love they looked so happy and having fun, playing with their voices, in various characters like Be Our Guest in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. (11:46 Cho MinGyu was like the Wardrobe in the animation) I said you that they gave the Disney vibe and Halloween vibe at the same time, now you can understand how. I love their creativity even in the cover. 3:40 Bae DooHoon is a musical actor, so he could do this perfectly. Actually MinGyu wanted him to sing like a prince lol like "Be more prince, more!" DooHoon was like "How is it should be to sing like more prince?😅" 7:02 In their album Mystique Cho MinGyu sang the voices of girl and boy both, this is their concert version Bae DooHoon sang the boy. (Sometimes they changed it like granma & granpa lol.) 6:36 WooRim's villain laughter decided my bias by slight gap among this quartet. I highly suspect Cho MinGyu was who pushed this song the most.. as he is a huge Disney fan, and he loves the witch concept. (You can see it in his solo cover on Kill This Love feat. Harry Potter concept, he acted like Bellatrix- the forecasting witch.) I think it notes the arranger's style, this is by Park MinWoo, who arranged Forestella's version of Hijo de la Luna with unresolved ending, who put tritone code into Bad Romance. If you wanna see his another surprising arrangement, I strongly recommend Forestella's Shape of You. Please check Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (Latin Remix) Ft Zion & Lennox, Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (Cover by Ndlovu Youth Choir and Grammy-winning flutist Wouter Kellerman) other than the original. I guarantee you'll be surprised again even after seeing their references of Spanish & Zulu.

Yes, first-class and ravishing performance. Creativity, real passion and team spirit, that is part of what defines FORESTELLA. These guys, and the excellent team behind them, are extremely creative when arranging their songs. They constantly changes themself, and really seem to enjoy every performance. And so does the audience. It seems to me that you have gotten to know the more classic side of FORESTELLA so far. They are so diverse and constantly change genres and styles. E.G. "The Show Must Go On", Lazenca Save Us", "Legends Never Die" or " Inner Universe" and "Snow Globe" again show different musical directions and abilities. And every single performance is highly recommended.

Thanks for your great analysis and for reacting to Forestella once more ❤❤❤❤ Every time I see this performance I feel like I'm diving into several different children's stories and visiting their characters! It's like jumping from one story to another and quickly interacting with one character or another! What a trip! But again, SH's analysis brought to light aspects of the vocal arrangement that I hadn't even noticed! And your instrumental arrangement “class” (I’m a laywoman so for me it’s a learning experience) is simply wonderful! This makes me value and respect the hard work of the Forestella members even more - since, most of the time, they are the ones who make the arrangements.

I know eventually, you'll react to the PTX cover of this song and it is great. It's like a completely different song from this one. I find it so interesting that covers of different songs can be interpreted in so many different ways. Arranging is an art, like you've said before and it's really fun to experience really great and different arangements.

This is such a unique arrangement! Very enjoyable! It's been a while since I encountered reference to the Circle of Fifths, lol. I didn't spend a lot of time on music theory decades ago in high school. I wish I had taken the class, but I had to fit in AP everything, plus concert choir, symphonic wind ensemble, show choir, jazz band, and all my fine art classes. I played in the college band and in Buffalo Brass Ensemble after that, but I majored in Design and Fine Art, so no time for formal theory classes there, either. I feel like I should know more, so I especially appreciate your commentary so much. PTX also did quite a unique, sort-if Burton-esque, quirky, Alice's-tea-party arrangement of this song with a Kirstie feature - it's well worth a listen!

You hit the nail on the head on this version's "Nutcracker" feel, but that doesn't stay there long. There are a few rare times when Forestella misses the point of a song. It will always sound good, but it may sound... not right? (does that make sense?) This is perhaps my least favorite Forestella cover, but we still see many fun new things. They have fun by adding 'characters' to their voices (There is a version where Doohoon does his old man voice that always makes me giggle, and Mingyu does a few different children's voices), but we lose some pronunciations and intent in the process. They do, however, continue that magical Forestella trait of keeping us on our toes when they cover a song.

I agree CrzyJen, I love Forestella but this one is my least favourite too. It sounded almost mocking at one point. Also half a verse words were repeated. The first time was incorrect. Not sure whether they meant to do that or not. Snowglobe is also bit crazy but in a beautiful way.

I wonder why nobody tried to correct their pronunciation before the video was released . This performance is a few years old. Yes. But I noticed a few missed pronunciations in a couple of their recent videos as well. Forestella is known for their ability to sing in multiple languages. It would have been an easy fix.
