Souness has played at a top level and managed at a top level too. Nobody there has half the experience including Simon at Reading these situations. Simon has many points which is why he is arguably correct in his response, but that doesn't make souness wrong.

He’s a manager and has to manage the players accordingly if it’s right for the team. No player should be guaranteed a permanent place in the team, irrespective of who they are.

This conversation probably did happen. It’s pretty likely though that ETH told him exactly what his plans were for him and ronaldo said “we’ll see”. I've been a Liverpool fan since '71. I find it hard to believe that Bob Paisley would have caved in to a transfer demand. It was well known when Shankly was in charge that Paisley was the disciplinarian, not Shankly. Paisley got rid of two of his best midfielders, because they trashed a bar on a preseason tour. I think Souness' story is bullshit, to be honest. Back when Paisley, Fagan and Moran were running the show, anyone who even hinted at considering leaving Liverpool FC was gone and replaced by the weekend - the good old days before transfer windows.

Ten Hag man management is poor and we have better examples on managing players like Ancelotti who has underperforming players with big egos at Madrid but none of them are unhappy with the coach but only unhappy with performance for example HAZARD is one of them and I could mention more players in that group!!!

100%, Ronaldo should of just listened to Ten Hag. Play off the bench every game. Then at the end of the season, when United activate their one year extension of his contract, just to maintain their shirt sales. That said, they'd still be generating money from his merchandise sales, etc. And clearly nothing would irritate Ronaldo more than not being able to play for that long. They also could terminate his contract and refuse another club registration until the end of the season, given he breached confidentiality laws with his interview.

Even if he is one of the GOAt at the end of the day he is united player, if some player making a mistake I think there's no GOAT or noob. Even if the manager want to favor, his actions were long way passed bottomline.

Everyone seems to have forgotten his dryspell of 10 games, missing chances after chances, which cost us FA and UCL. His performances this season are even worse than rashfords. Ronaldo is where he belongs, on the bench. His attitude only embarrassed himself. Instead of helping the young players and trying his best to help the club, be throws a hissy fit like a petulant child. Ronaldo can go, his prime is long in the past, he can't compete in the EPL.
