My goodness you're such a great teacher. The rose looks perfectly 3D, burnishing is the way to go!This reminded me of your red velvet curtain tutorial. You make it look effortless. You simply make Beautiful art. Thanks for giving your time & talent.

I used this blend/burnish technique earlier today on some leaves and love the way it turned out. It is faster then layering, but I also have to be mindful that I’m still learning this technique. It is different from layering and does take a bit of getting used to. I love your description of the road map concept Claire. That really helps to visualize what we’re trying to accomplish. This is great Claire, I watched your jellyfish in Geomorphia book tutorial and the whole process of 'mapping' made so much sense giving a starting point for some of the more complex pictures I ended up buying the book ! 😂 and now seeing you apply the same principle to other colouring is really quite empowering so thank you😍

Cecy Argentina oh gosh I don’t really keep notes on colours used outside of the tutorials. I think it might be green ochre, artichoke and lime peel but I’m not 100% certain. Sorry.
