With all due respect, I already have a best friend..... ...... ...... ....... My Derwent electric eraser.😅 Black pencil will have to get in line behind the eraser and white colored pencil. Seriously, though, this is both a great tutorial and a beautiful completed coloring page. I was given a copy of Animorphia from my care team when I "graduated" (their words, not mine) from a residential chemical dependency program. I picked up coloring through the OT department as a method for dealing with anxiety, cravings, and good ol' boredom. All I had access to before that was the 2 mandala books from OT and a pack of Crayola colored pencils (sent as gift from my mother.) At the time I had no idea that there was this whole adult coloring community. The jump in skill level, from the 5th grade mandala book to Animorphia absolutely terrified me. But people like you and Peta Hewit (sp?) were so helpful. Now Kirby Rosanes books are some of my favorite. This hobby, and the things I learn from videos have helped me through some very difficult times. Just wanted to say "thanks."

I love the artists that make our coloring work so easy by using fabulous line shading. I figured out early on how to use the darkest color in the heaviest line shading. The results are fabulous Claire! I look for illustrations with lots of line shading and have now been inspired to begin drawing again so I can create pages with my preferred amount of line shading. It won’t be easy, but nothing worth it ever is, is it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work here, and thumbs up from the artist is just so well deserved. Beautiful, beautiful work. Blessings to you and yours.

Thank you Claire for sharing your amazingly helpful skills ! I have watched real artists videos and yours clearly are the most helpful ! You really have a way of explaining just exactly what we need to know and how to achieve each step without complicating it ! You truly are a blessing to someone just starting out in their coloring or someone who wants to improve what they’ve thought was the correct technique ! And so great that you got a thumbs up from Kirby ! When I was thumbing through Instagram I came across your green man and thought “wow that’s amazing “, before I ever found your channel . So happy and grateful for your videos ! When I first came across Kirbys books I thought , oh I could never attempt to color his wonderful art , I did not want to ruin it . So I purchased several of his books just to thumb through and be amazed at his talent . I could seriously look for hours at his eye for detail . You have broken it down so it makes it hopeful to try ! Love and best wishes for continued success on your channel !❤️

This is truly stunning. I don't know how you get this color saturation with Prismacolors. Maybe it's the paper in my book, but the Prismas leave a lot of white paper through for me. I have just a small set of the Prismas, but I have the full set of the Polychromos. I'm learning that I like a harder pencil. It's all so subjective, isn't it?

Hello all I hope everyone is doing well.. Well we are in the 3rd month of the new year 2023!!! I like this I'm going to be experimenting with something like this also I noticed just to bring this up I just received my Colormorphia: Celebrating Kerby Rosanes's Coloring Challenges Paperback from Amazon and the paper in that book (Not sure if I should've gotten the other version of the book) I know that the color pencils don't pick up the colors and the paper is light glossy paper and the 2 page art work is really nice but can't work with it. So now I thinking I'm going to have to unbind and cut the spine of this book format it to be scanned single page for the single pages and for the 2 page I would scan this for a 11 x 17 to capture details. And then next buy the right paper and then I'm thinking using Color pencils, Paint markers with chisel tips also fine point tips with the metallic and stander paint pens too.
