@Kevin Lewis i will but in. I own a Garrett AT Gold. But they came out with the AT MAX just a few mo. Later I wish that I would have waited. You never know what these company have in mind. You will never go wrong with the Garrett machine. Especially the Max. I love my Gold but it isn't recommended for salt water or salty wet sand. So if you are going beach hunting go with the AT Max. I know there are Other great machines out there. Some very expensive zone not. But ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THERE ARE NOT FIFTY DOLLARS DIFFERENCE IN THE VALUE OF PRODUCING HISTORIC ITEMS. I KNOW A GUY THAT USES AN OLD 35.00 MACHINE DUCK TAPE ALL OVER. HE HUNYS EAST COST STATES. HE HAS A SHOE BOX OF CLASS RINGS, AND ANOTHER NEARLY FULL OF SILVER COINAGE. WHICH AT LEAST ARE SILVER DIMES. NOW YOU KNOW IT DONT COST MORE THAN you want or can afford. Buy it to enjoy. Not to swear at !!!!
