yeah the views on this have exploded past week! i think youtube algo has to do with long videos being watched all the way through and full albums really fulfill that criteria, so maybe thats why? i dont know tho haha, im just happy you like the album!

I just gave away my last assignment of high school, and now I'm officially in uni. It's 1:44 am on Friday, I'm chilling on my bed watching the xmas lights shine on my bookshelf, only subtle, warm lights illuminate the room and the city (City of Buenos Aires, Argentina) is quiet outside. It feels good.

You managed to capture that exact feeling of the exact moment when, in the middle of an anxiety attack, a loved one gets your attention and suddenly you realize everything is going to be okay. Your music embodies the emotion of calm in so many more dimensions than I've ever experienced before, and I look for lots of calm music. Thank you. This managed to calm my nerves I didn't know were even shot.

Right though? A lot of lofi, as it is nice, is a bit repetitive and distracting.This is really great lofi, though, for anything and especially for just listening to. Everything is so different in this album but it has a theme to me. It's really lovely.

I don't know how i ended up here, but i like it

I found this artist after a really scary heart surgery, and it was perfect for just chilling out, it was like everything will be fine your good. Now I just use it to study.

this mix makes me miss a time that's never really existed, a time that appears in muted, soft shades in my mind. a time of love, the soft, sweet kind that can make even the coldest heart feel warm, the type of love that belongs in a novel. it makes me think of time where i would've smiled through the pain until there was no pain left. god i wish this time existed in a world outside of my mind...

Your not alone to think like that. I remember when artists like TheFatRat were still relatively obscure in the music scene. Eventually they picked up popularity and nowadays you can't openly listen to it without recognition from everyone around you.

It's only a "hipster mentality" because that word got tied to the feeling. It's only seen as bad because hipster is a negatively connotated word. However the feeling is real, and not negative. Take any negativity elsewhere

@@xCheeseHead95x Telling somebody they're not popular, and that you're glad about it, isn't exactly a compliment, no matter how you intended for it to sound. so i get why they called them a hipster. It's a "hipster" stereotype to covet things that are good/enjoyable and not want to share it with the "mainstream". The act in itself of wishing somebody to stay obscure, rather than wish for them to see success, is negative all on it's own, not because it's tied to the word hipster. Who cares if other people recognize something you enjoy? Jeez man, it seems so petty to me. Just let people enjoy things, and let people find success. It's like exclusivity and obscurity is more important to some people than actually just shutting up and enjoying the thing in the first place.

You're not understanding what the op was trying to convey. City Girl makes amazing music, and of course we would all want them to be as popular as they wanted to be. The desire that the op was expressing comes in the form of a correlation between success and popularity. The more popular City Girl gets, the more likely they'll be subjected to trollish comments and scrutiny. As long as City Girl gains a following through word of mouth, or mutual friends, there's a lower chance for there to be people that really don't value, appreciate, and care about the impact that the artist is creating. Don't assume that if this video had 20 million views that the dislikes couldn't ever exceed the likes... People are rude and disinterested when it comes to new things. I'd honestly expect a more understanding audience in this comment thread.

The city scape full of twinkling stars that contrast the deep blue of the night. And the flashes of color and night life bring out a wide eyed astonishment in a girls heart. Think about why you broke up, and how it's probably for the better. Your ex doesn't define you or what you do, you are free to enjoy whatever you would like, both of you. Don't let it affect you. Instead, focus on your inward self and just be happy. Lofi music should continue to be special with or without someone to listen to. Feel better soon! Your music helped get me through Highschool... Now I'm in my 2nd year of Uni, it's been 2 years since I've listened to this album but I'm playing your albums on loop while studying- It's strangely nostalgic, in a way. I stopped for a while and began to look for other similar stations/channels/albums but none are as good as this, so here I am again after months and months. I have just recently started getting into Lofi as I find it helps me a lot to concentrate on my studies. I have heard quite a few but somehow I keep coming back to this one. The melodies are all so beautiful and just how soft your whole album sounds makes me feel at peace tbh.

Runaway reminds me how I spent my evenings in the summer time out in the backyard, trying to build my own little garden where the pool was years ago. Before the summer evening felt scolding hot; more of a time when then late night weather was more like a gentle, warming hug. It reminds me of little seeds in pots, waiting for their time to pop through to shine out for themselves and the world around them.

Happy second birthday to this album! This album and your others are the only thing keeping me going through this quarantine lol.
