That code is not for the timing belt, it is just the belt that drives the alternator. The timing belt has nothing to do with the charging system.

To change the belt you just have to remove the right whell and the Cover behind it. less than one hour of work. Removing the error code is an other problem...

I see why you think P16AB is a timing belt fault. Your other fault, P1383 means your camshaft timing is overadvanced, which is a timing issue. But this can't be confused with P16AB, which is a drive belt fault. Also, DS is a brand name, and definitely does not mean Diesel System!! 😂

This car doesn't have a timing belt .... It's chain driven engine, and the belt you're talking about is the alternator belt
